Welcome to Saturday edition of Nations Diary! We are only 2 days away from the beginning of the Final! All National Teams have already sent the Lineups, and everything is almost done! Tomorrow we'll share the 4 Leagues composition.

Today we'll talk about the Penalties, to review this very important part of the Tournament. Even if most of the managers already know it by heart, other's may not be yet so inside these aspects, and NC Staff wants to assure that everybody will do their best to avoid the Penalties! Every point will make a difference in this Final, and it would be a shame if a less informed manager would do anything that could compromise it's National Team Score!

As can be seen in the Nations Cup Regulation the Penalties can take place in Transfers, Friendly Matches* and in the Leagues Creation/Entering:

Point 4.1.
CPU offers cannot be accepted (-10 points)

Point 4.2.
Instant sales are prohibited (-10 points)

Example:

Point 4.3.
Selling at the player's exact market value results into the same penalty as an instant sale. (-10 points)

Point 4.4.
The sale and purchase between human coaches is prohibited. (-10 points for each transfer between human coaches).

Example:

Point 5.1.
In this edition, friendly matches are forbidden (-15 points for each).

Example:

When Creating a League, or when one enters a League by invitation, be careful when choosing the team - if you make a mistake that translates into a penalty:

Point 7.1.
The choice of the wrong team in the same objective results in a penalty of -20 points.

Point 7.2.
The choice of the wrong team in different objective translates into the same penalty in 7.1. (-20 points).

Managers Replacement
If a mangers quits a League, even though a replacement is allowed (one of the Final Lineup substitutes may enter in it's place), a penalty of -20 points will be applied to the National Team.

Q : Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?
Thank you! It was not easy to qualify but we trusted the team even after a difficult beginning. Congratulations to all of them for qualifying! Now we hope to do our best, we finished 5th in the Amateur World Cup so it would be great to do even better.

Q : By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?
I think that there should be forums for national teams on the correct language forums, and also for teams that speak English or another language than the currently supported ones (GB if you see this ). The topic for the French national team is one of the most viewed one on OSM French forums even if it is not the most active, so it shows that a lot of players want to be part of it! Giving better visibility to those selections and competitions would be a great way to make them even better.
Our national team is old and goes back to sometime around 2014 I think, and it's always managed to be one of the best. But I have never been around to celebrate a title with them, so I hope to be able to do that soon!

Q : From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?
I observe all the competitions within the French community, national selection competitions, and many of the other popular ones (such as the Crew Cup obviously). As a side comment, I like that there are a lot of good competitions now, but I would love to see one or two major international competitions with all the best crews, like the WCC before. Even if it can't be in exactly the same format, it would be great to have an equivalent to a Crews Champions League!
When I build the shortlist, I want managers who are good for both squad building and tactical knowledge, and complement each other well. Another important factor is motivation: sometimes, slightly inferior players feel very motivated when representing the national team and perform even better!

Q : How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?
If players are not part of a crew, I probably do not know them, so while it is not required, it is certainly better. It was important when battles were the main form of international competition, a little less so now. But if a player has done well in crew competitions, it is always a bonus!

Q : For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?
First of all, congratulations for running such a great tournament with a wonderful organization, I don't think I've ever seen one as good on OSM! If possible, I would love the tournament to last a little longer, I am happy we made it to the finals but 27 teams out of 43 were eliminated after one round. But other than that, nothing to add!

Q : Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
Right now, we do not have a U21 team, but if the idea becomes popular in France, we can maybe have one! If that happens, we will let you know.

The lineup registration phase, will start on 15/03 at 00:00 CET and will finish on 19/03 at 23:59 CET;

The draw of the pool, where the National teams and their managers, will be distributed by the different leagues, will be held on 15/03 ;

Between 19/03, after the lineup registration closes, and until 21/03, we will publish all the information, referring to the final;

On 22/03 all the leagues will start, and the final of the Nations Cup 2021 begins. The Leagues will be created by 12h00 CET.

Q: Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?
Thank you very much, if we didn't believe we had the quality for the finals, we wouldn't have played a tournament. I have to be immodest and say that I expect a place in the top 3 at the end of the tournament, while our ultimate goal is to be champions, I think we have the quality for that with due respect to all other national teams.

Q: By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?
I think that each national team could organize its own national tournament, and that even anonymous players would get a chance to be noticed by one of the national team leaders, and thus give them a chance at the national level.
Serbia was among only a few countries who invented the story of National Team competitions within OSM about 10 years ago. We played in first tournaments ever, 'Nations Mini Cup', '6 Nations League' etc. After that for some reason competitons involving National teams stoped for 3-4 years. Then around 2015-2016 first versions of WNT arrived. We played 2 editions but didn't achieved much. Our biggest success is winnig the WorldNationsTournament 2017/18 under command of MenagerBL whick was a big suprise for everyone. After that, some 'old school' menagers slowed down, left the game, MenagerBL step down from National Team of Serbia one year later.. The next step that happened was that I took care of the national team, with a totally new and inexperienced team of managers, I got call for our first competition and our first competition we won, that was Euro 2020 and it was a phenomenal thing for this young team. Today, Serbia is a mix of some of the 'old school' players and these 'new' managers and we hope again for the great success of our national team.

Q: From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?
Basically, I look to register my players for every slightly more serious tournament I like, CCW is extremely interesting to me, our BWC tournament organized by my good friend Ivan Andjal is extremely strong, great for trying out tactics against proven managers, then Romanian RR ...
Honestly, in my opinion both things are important, it doesn't mean anything to you if you make a strong team, and you don't have good tactics to use the strength of the team in the best possible way, Winners cups prove it.

Q: How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?
I think that it is extremely important for every player and that it is a good thing to be in a strong, and above all well organized clan, where attention is paid to teamwork, where attention is paid to work on tactics, communication. I will be brutally honest, but all those who have been with me in the clan could have learned a lot from me, and I guarantee that they have become much better players than they were before. So being in a clan can have its advantages, where teamwork should be learned first and foremost.
It is not crucial that a player does not have a clan, or that he does not play battles, in the final I will have just such a player who does not play battles.

Q: For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?
Honestly, I would change a little bit the scoring system. Gave a little more importance to the points on the table..a little more points to achieve the goal, it should not be the same as the goal difference... and one more thing, that some of the penalties are more severely sanctioned, such as penalties for changing players in the middle of the league, in my opinion personal opinion, 20 points is a pretty small penalty for that.

Q: Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
I believe that they could also participate in that tournament.
Criteria? Perhaps players who have up to 500 matches in the main slot in the game, therefore, could push them into the fire to represent their country in this way, and to gain experience that will mean something to them later.

Today, in the time frame established, all PM, created the leagues and sended invitations. We know that some issues happen, during this event, we are still analysing, the screenshots that were sended. All proven penalties will be duly recorded in the penalty table. A final note, about the decision of establishing the schedule of 11:30/12:00, for creating the leagues. It was already explained, but we want everyone to understand that in a worldwide competition, like the Nations Cup, in which more than 10 time zones are covered, it is practically impossible to please everyone. This decision reflects our idea of ​​balance for all, and it is also a principle of the National teams competition culture, which we want to continue to cultivate. We apologize for the inconvenience caused and hope you understand our decision.

Q : Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?

A : Thank you very much! Anyone who got in the final, wants to win the competition, and we don’t think otherwise!

Q : By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?

A : It was a great idea to organize the Nations Cup, which brought together many great managers to play against each other. In order to expand the OSM Community and keep it together internationally, I think a Facebook group is the best solution that has already been created, so it will be our job to maintain and operate it. Our nation boasts many strong and active crews, who are constantly dueling and participating in various international competitions, so it is always a difficult task to select the best managers.

Q : From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?

A : We focus exclusively on competitions where we can develop both as a team and individually. I think team building and tactical preparation are equally important. However, the most important for me is still activity and being a real team player.

Q : How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?

A : I think it's important for a national team to have managers as a member of a crew. It's difficult to learn to play in a team if you are an individual player, without crew. Managers who are successful at the crew level, are much more able to work together and adapt, even when they are from different crews. The essence is the teamwork.

Q : For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?

A : Personally, I am completely satisfied with the current organization and would not change it in any way. Perhaps, I would break the rule, that allows just maximum two managers from the same crew.

Q : Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?

A : We are open for this new competition. And I would let the organizers to decide the participation criteria.

Q : Congratulations once again for reaching the finals. What are your expectations from the last phase of the competition?

A : Thank you very much. We are very satisfied with the placement in the finals and thus we have fulfilled our goal. In the final, we play without pressure and every result will be good. As I have already said, by placing in the finals, we have already achieved our goal.

Q : By creating the Nations Cup, our main goal is to strengthen the culture of OSM national teams. What kind of action do you need to take in each national community to achieve this goal? What can you tell us about your national team history?

A : The Nations Cup is a very well-designed and organized competition and I, as the organizer, congratulate you on that. As for the BiH national team, we were founded almost and we are just at the beginning and we are very satisfied with what has been done so far. Of course, a lot still needs to be done, we have a lot of good players that we have to bring to play with us and defend the colors of their country ...

Q : From several competitions in OSM, which of them do you observe? When making your shortlist, which is more important in a manager: building or tactical knowledge?

A : As far as I am concerned, as a selector and captain of the national team, both are important, but one does not work without the other. However, I prefer building a team and then we agree on tactics for the game together ...

Q : How important is it for player development to be part of the crew? Does a player need to be part of the crew to be invited to draft your national team?

A : It is very important to be a part of Crew because there is a lot of experience for playing and communication. Of course, I follow the managers who do not have Crew, and for them and everyone else from our country I organized the BiH championship which is currently underway and we are looking for a national champion and of course, the best placed will have the opportunity to play for the national team.

Q : Can you tell us for future editions of the Nations Cup what improvements you want to implement to improve the overall quality of the tournament and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM Space of National Teams?

A : The organization and everything is great, maybe I would allow playing friendly matches and instant sales of players, but even without that, everything is great ...

Q : Would your nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?

A : We are of course ready for all competitions, and as for the u21 competition, I don't know what conditions I would set, but I believe that you will do the right thing as before and of course, we trust you ...

Hello folks! I'm back! And super excited with this Nations Cup Final!

Today I'll make an analysis on the Finalists, pointing my favourites, and anticipating what this Final can bring!

Having finished in the 1st place in their Qualifying Groups, Indonesia, Turkey and Serbia are naturally favourites, due to their excellent performances so far! But Croatia, Hungary and Spain also have similar favourite status, as all of them also performed well above average in the previous round!

Never the less, National Teams with huge quality, like Brazil, Syria, Cameroon, France and Belgium also have a saying, and all may be defined by a good start!

Running in the outer lanes, but having already proven their worth, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Peru, India and Morocco can't be forgotten, and their task is easier than all of the others, as the pressure won't be certainly on their side!

Tonight me and my staff will take a look on the first round results, and tomorrow we'll be back with the first highlights on the Individual Awards!

God Damn! what a Final it will be! I'm looking forward to take a look on the first rounds! I'm sure there'll be a lot of surprises!

Q: Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?
Thank you very much. It was very difficult to me to succeeded in this tournament. However, our goal was achieved and now that we are in the final we hope we could win. I am aware that the competition will be difficult, but I will do my best.

Q: By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?
First of all, let me congratulate you for creating this amazing tournament. This is almost my first competition as a coach, also this type of competitions greatly benefit a national team to strengthen communication and friendship between the members and get confidence and experience.

Q: From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?
We are informed about of all the competitions in the Hispanic community and we are also encouraging managers to play competitions constantly. According to the second question, we check them in an excel were we registered the squad building and tactical knowledge to make our shortlist because for us both are very important.

Q: How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?
Well, being in a group influences a lot because being in a good crew make sure us that the player know about the game and the tournaments in the forum. I think that it is very important that a player being part of a group to be called to a national team because in a group you can developer your skills and has more opportunities to play competitive tournaments.

Q: For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?
Well, how they are doing it is very good, At first I had problems with the scoring system but now it is clear to me. Something that I totally disagree was that some national teams signed up for the competition but they did not participate and it is a lack of respect for the work that one does and damage the perspective of the tournament.

Q: Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
I think is a very good idea create U21 tournaments because they are not playing at the moment and it would be helpful for each member of our U21 and of course our Peruvian team U21 would participate. To conclude, I would like to the competition has the same rules and scoring system. Thank you very much for the interview.

Yesterday, the Nations Cup 2021 Final has started, and now we bring to you, the Leaderboard, after the first round :

As you can see, Serbia (128 points) has taken the lead, with a comfortable margin in relation to the second place, India (75 points), completing the podium is Indonesia (29 points). In a second group, we have Morocco (27 points), Ukraine (25 points), Spain (23 points) and Syria (19 points). Closing the half top of the Leaderboard, is Cameroon (3 points), and then the half bottom of the table, with Hungary (-1 point), Peru (-8 points), France (-10 points). In the last 5 places, we have Brazil (-19 points), Belgium (-23 points), Turkey (-40 points), Croatia (-48 points) and the red lantern, Bosnia and Herzgovina (-88 points). With 29 rounds to play, as we make this post the 2nd round is being simulated, many things will happen, so this is only the opening round. It was very exciting, but the best is yet to come!!
As we said yesterday, the Leaderboard reflects the results of the previous day, we will try to update it in the weekend, in real time, but during the week, this will be the rule. Thank you, for your understanding.

Q : Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?

A : Thank you. First of all, I'd like to mention that I'm not alone, we work together with @woopertje, reasons are explained below
As for the expectations, at least Top 6, but we aim for the podium of course.

Q : By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?

A : Since most of the communication about big competitions happens on the forum through active/important members, I think there should be
a very strong link between organisers and headcoaches (this is already the case ) but also with Community Managers. A national team is something big and unique on osm, but some active countries are not even participating. CM's or voluntary responsibles could simply work as relay between the organisation and these nations.
Let's take Germany for instance, I understand that in the past it was more complicated to show up consistent line-ups since managers needed traditional battles experience, but now, there's no more teamwork needed, it's easier, and Germany has a massive amount of awesome managers. They just need like 4-8 to begin to rock the floor with us!
Same goes for other countries. Hope to see all of them soon!
Therefore, CM's could ensure that all active countries have the opportunity to have a selection and appoint responsibles.
Maybe negotiating an in-app announcement might be possible?
Or just create or maintain national topics active with news.
About the history of the Belgian national team, it goes back to 2014-2015. As a moderator of the French community, I raised a committee and helped them to begin a national team. But I felt like Belgian and Swiss people were forgotten so we also began these two national teams around the same time!
It was very difficult because we didn't have many experienced people at all (only 2: @Seb-the-Rouche and me) so we needed to train managers, run +20 people tests, etc. But now the team has evolved a lot.
Talking about results, we did many events and won against many top countries but still haven't earn any big title yet. Let's say that our best results are a 1/4 final in World Nations Tournament 2017 and a 5th place during the EURO 2018.
Lastly, I'm proud to say that this last year we've worked hand in hand with @woopertje and try to bring the best out of the Dutch and the French community. As a trilingual country, it's important for us to be able to give the chance to anyone who deserves it and proves it

Q : From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?

A : We mainly get to know candidates after running some tests and then/or seeing them perform in leagues like CrewCup world, CrewCup NL, Dutch Divisions (KL), LFS-Cup, Dutch Championship, French Divisions, French Christmas Tournament, French Championship, or important crew leagues.
As for the criteria:

1. The most important is the Mindset. A manager with awesome skills but a poor mindset won't play. Never saw one with ua though, we're lucky they're all great & fun people
   It's all about having fun outside the field and being professional on the field.
2. Second are Motivation & Availability.
   That's all it takes to be good on osm, you can learn anything then.
3. Thirdly, of course, huge skills both Tactical and Teambuilding.

Q : How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?

A : There's no need of a crew at all, but the exigencies require high level competitions experience, so 95% of the time it's reachable only when you are/were in a good crew.
But we also train young talents and advise them good crews; since Belgium has very good managers but only a limited number. There's always this need of preparing the next generation.

Q : For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?

A : You're already doing a truly amazing job
Perhaps have a place with a clear explanation of everything on 1 page?
So we don't lose ourselves in the middle, because there's a lot of information coming (sometimes gradually).

Q : Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?

A : It would be a great challenge for us in any case. I think so, yes!
Finding young talents and testing them in U21 before, that sounds fun
As criteria, well main ideas I guess are something like
real aged U21 but difficult to control
only +- U300 played matches seems interesting. (But not that realistic since experience only comes when you stop playing bots/inactive players, whether it's around 1000 matches or 10 matches)
For us maybe the best is: anyone who hasn't played in the official selection yet could be eligible for the U21. It sounds ok.

In order to have the fairest criteria possible, we've added another variable to the calculation - the amount of wins in the league:

My expectations for the final will be strong and difficult. We expect who will win, but for us our goal is to win the championship

For me, it is necessary to intensify the tournaments of the national teams.
As for the Moroccan national team, we have participated in a lot of tournaments such as WNT ( World Nations Teams ) and ANT (Arab Nations Teams). We reached the final more than once in ANT and without luck we would have achieved the championship

Q: From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?
I like a lot of tournaments like CCW, ISC, and FMS ... like these tournaments, you can improve your level with them. For me, team development and strength of tactics are very important and complement each other. You cannot develop your team while you are weak in terms of tactics.

Q: How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?
Of course, he must be part of a crew, in order to gain more experience in difficult battles and patrols.

Q: For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?
I think your organization of the current tournament is very excellent, the important thing is that it will last for years.

Q: Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
I don't think we will participate because we don't have another squad for the tournament.

Thank you very much! Our goal will be to do the maximum we can, we have not set a goal except to give it all we've got.

Q: By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?
I think there are a lot of people playing OSM who ignore the existence of national teams which is a shame because there are some great players not playing for the national team simply because they don't know it. exists or because they have a nationality that we rarely see on OSM. The solution would be for each moderator to explain this on their community's forum. Also, let's not forget that not everyone goes to the OSM forum so we should also communicate via social networks. The more the years go by and the more, the number of national teams increases and it will continue.

The Cameroon national team was founded very recently, in December 2020. It was a project of the coach @hangaboy and it took a lot of work. We are happy that in such a short time the team has become formidable. I think this is all due a great job done by the coach and the nation's players.
Q3: We organize a lot of selection championships between us in order to train and train new talents for competitions. We encourage them to also register for the DF ("French speaking divisions") which is a good French competition to train and play against good coaches.
We are looking at the performance of players in Selection and DF Championships as well as other Crew competitions.

The most important criterion for a player is

1. discipline
2. motivation
   3.tactical skills and buying and selling
   Cameroonian players all generally have these criteria.

I don't think that it is obligatory, however to advance the players and to make them acquire experience, it is necessary but it is not a criterion which is taken into account enormously by the coach to make his lineup.

I don't have any big suggestions since you are doing an incredible job, the only thing to do for the next editions would be to change the format as well as the leagues.

Q: Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?
I don't know if we will be able to participate in a NC U21 because we do not have a lot of players since we have just been recently founded but if we have the possibility for that, yes why not.
The criteria would be not to have played for the first team even if it will be a little difficult to control.

Well the leadership has changed again! Now Spain is in first place with 197 points, followed by India (169 points), and Serbia (161 points). France (93 points) and Turkey (88 points) climbed fast in the table, and are in the 5th and 6th position, Indonesia (141 points) did well also, and is now in 4th place. Finishing the top half of the table, we have Bosnia and Herzgovina (76 points) and Croatia (63 points). This will be a very close competition until the end, in every round we see changes, and every National team is fighting hard, for every point! Everything can happen, and that is the "magic" of Nations Cup!

Q : Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?

A : Thank you, my friend..My expectation is that the final will be very strong with the presence of the elite international teams participating .. I cannot certainly expect the final winner of the tournament..but I expect that the teams that came out of the first group will be strong candidates to compete for the title ...

Q : By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?

A : I think that the national teams should support this championship by allowing the elite coaches to participate in it .. in this way the competition is very strong and the other national teams that did not participate previously will be relieved to participate and give their best....The Syrian national team is a newly established team that includes the elite of Syrian coaches who are among the most important Arab teams .. We have the determination, determination and sportsmanship and are always ready to participate in all Arab and international competitions and are ready to present our best.

Q : From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?

A : Monitor Arab competitions in general .../ مسابقة المنطقي _ ARAB LEAGUE CUP _ Arab Professional champion/....Both are complementary to each other .. The most important thing for me is commitment and providing the most that a coach can do.

A : I hope that the competition will include more teams ... this in turn will lead to an increase in elimination rounds and an increase in matches and stages, leading to more enjoyment and strong competition ... Perhaps for the sake of encouragement, putting cash prizes or coins prizes that may make some players more eager to participate.

Q : Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?

A : Of course . The Syrian team is ready to participate in all competitions..As for the selection criteria, the spirit of the youth will be taken into consideration in addition to the coach's ability to adhere to, his knowledge of good tactics and his constant follow-up to the transfer market.

After the 5th round played, the Leaderboard is like this :

The podium didn´t change since last round, so Spain (228 points) stayed in the lead, India (189 points) is in 2nd place, and closing it is Serbia (181 points). In the second group, we had some changes, with Bosnia and Herzgovina (132 points), and Croatia (114 points) in 5th and 6th positions, swapped with Turkey (86 points) and France (71 points) now in 7th and 8th places. Indonesia (153 points) kept the 4th place. In the bottom half of the table, teams teams keep changing positions, except for Ukraine (-56 points), that hold the red lantern, the highlight goes to Peru (16 points) that climbed from 15th postion to 10th. This will be a constant fight, and tomorrow probably, new changes will happen, and we could have a new leader! What a fantastic Final with such enormous National teams!

Q : Congratulations, once again, for qualifying into the final. What are your expectations for the last stage of the competition?

A : Thank you very much for your congratulations. Probably everyone wants to win but we will set more realistic goals. If we are above the 10th position in the final, it will be a good result for us. But we will fight to the fullest.

Q : By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?

A : In my opinion, the tournament is well organized and would not change anything in the rules. A very interesting rule of delimitation by clan and replacement in the next round. I liked it. The only thing that would forbid is the purchase of Legends. The history of the Ukrainian national team began here at the Nations Cup.

Q : From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?

A : The most interesting competitions are national teams. It is always necessary to strengthen the team, but in such tournaments and especially in the finals it is very difficult to do so. In such cases, you can not do without good tactics.

Q : How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?

A : I believe that it is important for a manager to be in a clan and play in various tournaments or in high-level battles near the top 100. But of course I do not consider it mandatory.

A : I think you made this tournament as perfect as possible. The only thing is that all participants would probably like to play one on one with each team as in battles. But this requires special leagues where the Spaniards will not play against the British, for example.

Q : Would your Nation be available to play Nations Cup U21? What should be the criteria for participation?

A : I don't know whether Ukraine U-21 will take part in such a tournament. But as a coach I will be happy to lead it and not play for it as I believe that those who were declared for the national team could not play for U-21. Next, I think that the main rule could be that the manager has been playing the game for less than 5 years.

In the last round, we expect a league where everyone is more active and the struggle is at the top until the last moment.

Q: By creating Nations Cup, our main goal is to empower the culture of OSM National teams. What type of actions you think should be done on each National community, in order to achieve that goal? What can you tell us about your National team History?
You are on a good road so far, I can say that it is a team that has proven its quality on behalf of my national team in the past and its struggle in such beautiful tournaments is always appreciated.

Q: From the several competitions in OSM, which of them you observe? When you build your shortlist, what's more important in a manager: squad building or tactical knowledge?
I think the most important is the quality and activeness of the staff, then tactics and of course luck.

Q: How important is it for the development of a player to be part of a crew? Does a player need to be part of a crew to be called to your National Team Draft?
No, it is sufficient to prove himself, decisions are made after each application is evaluated.

Q: For future editions of Nations Cup, can you tell us what sort of improvements you would like to see implemented, in order to improve the Tournaments overall quality, and help it achieve the ultimate goal of being one of the reference competitions in the OSM National Teams universe?
Certainly, for this to be a very important and prestigious tournament, the rules and the tournament operation need to be determined in one go and explained in a text, so that there are no new rules or glitches every day.

Yes, you can play, there should not be too many criteria, I think it would be enough to have the account completed for 1 year.

Today's National Team in the analysis board is Bosnia and Herzegovina ! They're currently on the 2nd place!

This National Team has been consistently rising up in the Leaderboard, round after round, and yesterday have reached the 2nd place, with 189 points! One Manager performance stands out in this Lineup: @zenudin_m , with 4 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat has a 80 points contribution for the Team score (42% of the total)! He is also one of the best in The Wall Individual Award (1 goal conceded so far)! The other Managers in the lineup are also performing in a good level, so there's no surprise to find them in the top of the Scoreboard! Congratulations to Bosnia and Herzegovina!

Q - Who is the person behind your nickname? Can you speak a little about yourself?
Hi, IRL I'm Nicolas. "konini" came from my first name: "koni" is for "niko", but when i registered (in 2013!) it was already taken... So I doubled the last syllabe! And "konini" sounds like italian tactician, so it's perfect... haha ! Otherwise I am an IT consultant, I love my job. Q - You had a successful NC 2021 Round 1, finishing 1st. What are your thoughts on your performance?

Good performance, i'm happy. But I was objective 1 so it is "normal"!
We qualified, that's what's important.

Q - Who were your biggest rivals on your way to success in Round 1 and what were the most difficult games you had?
Yeah @Moltensky (Portugal nation) with Benfica (yes Benfica for Portugal nation haha). He was leader for the 3/4 of the championship, and I took the lead at the 27th (of 30)! The most difficult game... I don't remember, surely against Benfica (i losed home) or @Ante Stiglich with Espanyol (3rd) and @Alkisaralali with Glasgow (4th).

Q - Let's speak about some aspects of the game itself when you're competing in such a high level like the NC. What is more important for you: the squad building or the tactical systems? Why?
Tactical system in first! Simple: You can win with a very good tactic and a weaker squad. A very strong squad is not enough. But at this level you have to build a strong team too: You can't leave nothing to chance.

Q - Concerning the NC 2021 and the individual awards (Goal Frenzy, Extreme Evolution, The Wall and MVP), do they motivate you to perform even better? If so, why?
A little bit. For me, my first motivation is to win with France! I never won WNT or Euro even if we were close (last euro: semi final). I WANT TO WIN haha!

Q - The Final has already started and everyone is doing their best to take the gold medal home. Which National Team do you think will be the winner?

NC2021 Final's Leaderboard after Round 8

Spain is still in the 1st position, but has lowered the score 30 points since yesterday, having now 226 points. India is in the 2nd place, with 195 points, climbing one position, same as Indonesia, now in the 3rd place, with 179 points. Bosnia and Herzegovina lowered two positions, being now in the 4th place, followed in short distance by Croatia, Serbia and France! Belgium climbed 3 positions, occupying now the 8th place. Things are highly volatile! We've reached the mid point in this Final's first half, and a handful of National Teams are proving to be serious candidates to the Champion Title!

The Leaderboard reflects the results of the previous day, and already includes Penalties. No new penalties were registered since the beginning of this Final, what makes us very proud of all National Teams commitment to the rules!

Good evening OSM fans! Sir Hunchy is back! I didn't leave my spot since yesterday! I'm so amazed with this Nations Cup 2021 Final, that i'm spending all the time I've got analysing Managers and National Teams performances! And it's worth every second spent! Let's take a look on how the Managers are performing after 8 Rounds played!

Extreme Evolution

It will be awarded to the managers with more squad evolution in the leagues, with their teams!

After 7 rounds with @Jhonger-PG (Peru ) in the lead, suddenly a bunch of managers gave an extra boost to their squads value! Now @hangaboy (Cameroon ) is the new leader, with 246M Squad Evolution! Epic! But how long will this manager keep the leadership?! Let's wait and see!

Goal Frenzy

It will be awarded to the managers with more scored goals in the leagues with their teams!

@hangaboy (Cameroon ) with 13 scored goals (average of 1.6 goals per match) is alone in the leadership now! I'm so proud of this guy! I just love attacking mentality!

The Wall

It will be awarded to the managers with less conceded goals in the leagues with their teams!
Now we have 3 Managers with the only 2 conceded goals in 8 Rounds (average of 0,25 per round): @zenudin_m (Bosnia and Herzegovina ), @davidaguila76 (Spain ) and @Ante-Stiglich (Croatia )! These guys won't make it easy for their opponents, thats for sure!

Most Valuable Player

It will be awarded to the managers that score the most points for their National Teams!!

@Mickytuli (Spain ) , with 111 points achieved for his National Team, is improving his performance every day! It's Managers like this in the lineup, Spain will surely have a saying in the end!

@hangaboy from Cameroon is on the highlight today! He's performing superbly both in the Extreme Evolution and Goal Frenzy Awards! Bravo!

Nation of the Day
India is under analysis today! After 8 rounds played in this Nations Cup 2021 Final, they're currently in the 2nd place with 195 points!

One Manager's performance stands out in India's lineup for this Final: @Kashaf-sanchez alone has 42% of the National Team score so far, with 82 points (4 wins, 3 draws and only 1 defeat, 6 goals scored and 3 conceded). @Paniyath and @M-Vaswani are also performing very well, with a 29% and 22% contribution respectively. After achieving qualification in the last rounds of the 1st Phase, this time these folks are starting very well, and proving to be a National Team to be considered for the Champion Title! Impressive! Great works lads! Keep it up! The sky is the limit!

Q - Who is the person behind your nickname? Can you speak a little about yourself?
I am Filip, better known in the game as GoldGamer381 and I play for the national team of Serbia.There is no particular story around my nickname in the game, I came up with the idea spontaneously.

Q - You had a successful NC 2021 Round 1, finishing 1st. What are your thoughts on your performance?
I played well in the semifinals, in some games it was great, in some it was a little worse, it's all an integral part of the game. I think I could have played better in a few games, but overall I am satisfied with my performance.

Q - Who were your biggest rivals on your way to success in Round 1 and what were the most difficult games you had?
I honestly couldn’t single anyone out, every game was tough and they were all top managers in the league.

Q - Let's speak about some aspects of the game itself when you're competing in such a high level like the NC. What is more important for you: the squad building or the tactical systems? Why?
When it comes to the game itself, it is equally important to make a good team and play equally well tactically. But I honestly think it’s a little more important to make a good team because without a good team it’s very hard to play strong leagues like NC.
It is more important to me that the team has a better result than winning an individual award such as the MVP, but of course, like any other player, it motivates me to be as good as possible.

Q - Concerning the NC 2021 and the individual awards (Goal Frenzy, Extreme Evolution, The Wall and MVP), do they motivate you to perform even better? If so, why?
This is a very difficult question because only top national teams play in the finals. If I have to single someone out, it would be Turkey, which has a lot of good players. I must add that I believe that Serbia will take the title of champion.

With so many great teams, me and my team, decided to examine Indonesia they are in 3rd place with 194 points and they had performed very well so far!

One manager stands out, from this lineup, it´s KING GOSSY, with 111 points achieved, resulting in 57% of the total points his National team conquered, in 5 wins and 4 draws and without loosing any game! Darboz Le69enD, is the second best, with 53 points, representing 27% of the total points that Indonesia granted, in 4 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats. If the other 2 managers, could improve their performance, Indonesia would become a very hard team to beat, and who knows they might do a little surprise!! Keep up the good work guys! I´m pretty sure, that your country is proud of you!!

Q : Who is the person behind your nickname? Can you speak a little about yourself?

A : Well the person behind this nickname is called Agustín Gaston, a competitive person, who likes to be better and learn every day. very humble, always trying to help the Panamanian team to grow and become known throughout the osm world.

Q : You had a successful NC 2021 Round 1, finishing 1st. What are your thoughts on your performance?

A : The truth is I feel somewhat disappointed because I was filled with many draws where I was able to win some games but my team did not collaborate with the goals. But I am very proud of my team because even though I was not a golie, they did not beat me and that helped me win the title of "the wall" (of Berlin), just kidding, a title that I never thought existed and that I would win it and I am very happy and proud to win it.

Q : Who were your biggest rivals on your way to success in Round 1 and what were the most difficult games you had?

A : Gold gamer381 from Serbia who was the one who won the league together with Mahermoussa from Algeria, they were my biggest rivals to become champion in the first round of the NC 2021. Some of the toughest games I ever had. One was against Mahermoussa who I think I beat 1-0 while I was visiting and the other was against Almohob Traka, a very strong player who tied me 0-0 at home, when he was on a winning streak and highly motivated.

Q : Let's speak about some aspects of the game itself when you're competing in such a high level like the NC. What is more important for you: the squad building or the tactical systems? Why?

A : For me it is the squad, that is, the assembly of my team because that is why it will depend on whether my tactics will yield or not. Of course it motivates me to keep improving every day in the game. It is gratifying and I am extremely proud that a Panamanian like me has won an award such as the "wall" makes me keep working harder to be one of the best in the osm.

Q : Concerning the NC 2021 and the individual awards (Goal Frenzy, Extreme Evolution, The Wall and MVP), do they motivate you to perform even better? If so, why?

A : I think that Serbia has a good team and in round 1 two of the quartet finished first and took the league cup and third came second. I mean it's a very strong team.
I appreciate you interviewing me. I feel great and very happy because I didn't think I would reach this level in this game. And get to be interviewed. To continue showing my level and let them know that in Panama good managers.

In the end of round 10, the Leaderboard is like this :

Several changes happened, but Spain (270 points) is still on the lead but with a smaller difference for India (243 points) and France (231 points) which climbed from 6th position to 3rd. Belgium (223 points) which had the biggest climb from 9th position to 4th, followed by Serbia (196 points) and Croatia (186 points). Closing the mid top table, Indonesia (173 points) has the biggest drop, from 3rd to 7th position, and Bosnia and Herzgovina (167 points) that also dropped from 4th position to 8th. The highest and fierce competitivity of this Final, caused a few more changes to the Leaderboard, and no one can predict what will happen today in the 11th round! What an amazing competition!

They are doing a great Final, and reached the 3rd place with 231 points, nothing is totally decided, and this guys, shown to everybody, in the qualification phase, that they are here for the title! One manager stands out of this lineup : foulardinho! With 102 points scored for France, representing 42% of the total points his National team achieved, in 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats, he is clearly the man of the hour! Then we have 2 managers very balanced : konini and Rémy Goubert, with 61 and 58 points conquered, they represent 25% and 24% of the total points of their National team. If The Special Oz manage to improve is rating of points, they´ll be a very serious threat, in the long run, to be the first champions of Nations Cup 2021! Great work lads!

A : For me upgrading the squad is very important to determine the formation in every match, since I used the 433 formation in the middle of the league my team's game was consistent and managed to top the standings until the end of the league.

A : Yes, because being the best out of everyone who is in the tournament is an honor for myself.

Belgium dropped to 5th place with 224 points, and Bosnia and Herzgovina had the highest climb, from 8th to 4th position with 229 points. This guys keep pushing forward, they know no limits! This is a privilege to witness such a quality! My team and i, we prepared a report from Belgium, which is in 5th position with 224 points.

They started badly, but journey by journey, they have been improving, and they are imposing their game. To reach this level, much has been contributed by Maskedandy_1 with 107 points granted, resulting in 48% of the total points, achieved by his National team, it´s almost half of the total points, distributed in 6 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats. Pagno 7 is his sidekick, with 76 points representing 34% of the total points Belgium achieved, in 5 wins, 4 draws and 2 defeats. If the other 2 managers, raise their game, they might match the top teams at this moment, and who knows where will they stop! Keep strong Red Devils!

Q : Who is the person behind your nickname? Can you speak a little about yourself?

A : My name is Fatih and I am 24 years old. I'm a mechanical engineer, I love football and that's why I like to play OSM.

Q : You had a successful NC 2021 Round 1, finishing 1st. What are your thoughts on your performance?

A : When the league started, I used the transfer event well and I can say that I have eaten the fruits of the superior squad throughout the league.

Q : Who were your biggest rivals on your way to success in Round 1 and what were the most difficult games you had?

A : Certainly from Hungary, BECIBA has a very closed game system. When your squad is superior, you are faced with a 5-player defense system, I can say that these matches were difficult.

Q : Let's speak about some aspects of the game itself when you're competing in such a high level like the NC. What is more important for you: the squad building or the tactical systems? Why?

A : Squad building is more important to me. When your squad is good, your tactical options increase.

Q : Concerning the NC 2021 and the individual awards (Goal Frenzy, Extreme Evolution, The Wall and MVP), do they motivate you to perform even better? If so, why?

A : Yes, an individual reward motivates you more, allowing you to have the ambition to exceed the numbers your opponents catch. This is also in human nature.

Q : The Final has already started and everyone is doing their best to take the gold medal home. Which National Team do you think will be the winner?

A : It's hard to make a guess for now. The struggle will continue until the last match.
