    Good evening friends!

“The artist is always beginning. Any work of art which is not a beginning, an invention, a discovery is of little worth.”
    ― Ezra Pound

Welcome to today's edition of Nations Blog!

Tomorrow (15/06) is the big day! The 1st Round of the Nations Cup U21 Qualifying Phase starts!

All leagues must be created between 11h30 and 13h00 CET!

Why this schedule you may ask? Well, we have National Teams from all around the globe playing! And we all must bear in mind that for the far east countries, like Australia, Indonesia and India, the time difference is huge comparing to the western countries, like Venezuela and Uruguay, or Argentina, for instance. So, by using this leagues creation schedule, we're making it possible for the far east countries' players to be online when the leagues are up and running!

Now, we'll share the leagues compositions, once more, and the PM's in charge of creating them.

But before that, we remind you all that yesterday we've already shared here in the topic all the info needed for the leagues creation (an extensive league creation walkthrough, and all the players OSM nicknames):

Hello OSM fanatics! Beats Bytes in the house!

We are on the eve of the start of the 1st Edition of the Nations Cup U21, and we are going to have a spectacular competition! Yesterday we had the draw, which dictated the fate of the National teams, for the qualifying round.

Let's analyze the groups, the National teams and their qualifying possibilities!

Today we start with Group A, in which we will have a great OSM power: Brazil! Which will be accompanied by India, who as you know won the Nations Cup 2021 with the main National team, and therefore will be a serious candidate to qualify for the next phase. Then we have another great OSM power: Italy! That despite not having competed in the Nations Cup 2021, he will always be a candidate even for the final victory! Finally, we have Iran, who will be the outsider in this group, but beware that sometimes there are surprises! This is without a doubt the "Group of Death"!

In Group B, we will have Indonesia, which in the Nations Cup 2021 was a pleasant surprise, making an excellent R1 phase, although in the Final they couldn't maintain the same level of performance. Morocco will also be among the candidates to pass the next stage, as demonstrated at NC21 in which it qualified for the Final, and it came to walk in the front places. Another National Team very interesting is Poland, which despite not having been very happy in NC21, failing to qualify for the final, is always very combative and talented. Finally, in this Group B, we have Venezuela, which already has some experience in this type of competition, and which will certainly want to leave a more positive image, than its participation in NC21. This is perhaps the "Balanced Group" any one of the 4 National teams can move to the next stage!

Tomorrow I'll be back with Groups C and D analysis! Stay tuned!

    Cheers! Beats Bites is out!

And now it's time to welcome @Flanatico-NE , Brazil 🇧🇷National Team Coach, in today's Nations Blog interview!

Q - What do you think of the new format, in the qualification phase, of the U21 Nations Cup?
Quite interesting, I liked it, congratulations on your dedication!

Q - After the 2021 Nations Cup, we brought the Under-21 Nations Cup, what do you think about that?
Very good! Especially because, there are not many U21 competitions! Just be careful not to fill up on competitions and trivialize the selections!

Q - If there was a regulator for national team competitions, do you think it would be useful? Because?
it would definitely be useful. With practically the same rules and criteria. The way you're confused. Organization is always better

Q - If there was a regional competition, such as Copa America or Europe, to qualify the finalists for the 2022 Cup of Nations, would you agree? Because?
I think that I would value the cup of nations. But it would have to unify the organization of competitions. If I'm not mistaken, there is already a Hispanic tournament (almost all American countries) and another America cup to emerge ... anyway. Unifying and organizing will be cool!

Thank you Nadson! Best of luck to Brazil U21! 🇧🇷

We're pleased to host Flanatico-NE in today's edition of Blog of the Nations! He's the National Team Coach of Brazil U21 🇧🇷, one of the 12 Finalists of this Nations Cup U21 first edition!

Q: The foundation of the U21 Nations Cup is the U21 Coach concept. Do you think the criteria are well defined? If not, can you tell us what it should be?
Yes of course, we always work with meritocracy.

Q: In the 1st edition of the U21 Nations Cup, it is allowed to include 1 coach who is not U21 in the squad for the Qualification Phase. Do you agree with this idea? Why?
Yes, always good to have some experience among the "younger" coaches.

Q: What is your opinion about the competition rules? what can be improved?
I believe it looks great as it is, they are doing a GREAT job.

Q: After 2 qualifying rounds, what is your opinion on the quality and format of the tournament?
I really liked this format, it reminded me a little of the old 5x5.

Q: With final warranty qualification, what is your next goal?
    Be a champion of course.

Q: Do you think this competition has fulfilled its main objective, launching new generations of managers at National Team level? Why?
Yes yes, following the younger coaches closely is always good, and it will be the future of our national team.

Thank your Nadson! We're all expecting to see Brazil U21 in the top places of this Final! Best of luck to a Canarinha! 🇧🇷

It's all for today! Come back tomorrow for more news! Please support your National Team!

Please welcome @Crin90 , from Australia U21 🇦🇺 , winner of the League 2Ef in Round 3 of the Qualifying Phase! He's our guest today, in Blog of the Nations!

Q : You were called to participate in this competition, as an U21 manager, and you won a league in round 3. Do you expect to be called to the main National team? Why?
I don't expect it, if they call me I can play.

Q : What is your opinion of game improvements, such as player position or nationality bonus?
Bice, they could do even more.

Q : GB recently launched an event, which they called "Mission : The North Macedonia star". How do you see these new events?
Bullshit! (just to make you waste coins)

Q : If it were possible to have an Academy, where you could promote players to the first team, throughout the season, do you think it would be a good improvement for the game? Why?
Nice too, but I'm not interested being a promoter tbhgrimacing.

Well mate. Short and concise. But the ideias are clear! Thanks for your feed back, and good luck the The Socceroos in the last rounds of the Nations Cup U21 Final! Go Australia! 🇦🇺

    Hello my friends,

"I find television quite educational. When someone turns it on at home, I go to another room and read a good book." - Grouxo Marx

Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to the 94th edition of Blog of the Nations! 🙌

We are 4 days away from knowing who will be the 1st champion of the Nations Cup U21! 🏆
Today the 18th round was played, let's see how the Standing Table turned out.

    Standing Table - Round 18

    Standing Table - Round 18.jpeg

This journey brought changes to the top of the chart! Poland is still in 1st place (695 points) in 2nd place we have again Egypt (422 points) that climbed 2 positions, and closing the podium, we have Italy (380 points) in 3rd place falling 1 position.
Hungary is in 4th place (372 points) after dropping 1 position to just 8 points from 3rd place, Brazil kept the 5th place (356 points), in 6th place we have again Spain (341 points) which rose 1 position.
Portugal is in 7th place (292 points) after dropping 1 position, Peru kept 8th place (187 points) and in 9th place are the U.A.E. (155 points).
At the bottom of the table, Australia is in 10th (139 points) swapping places with Morocco which is now in 11th place (92 points) and in 12th place is Azerbaijan (1 point).
Despite these changes on the podium and in the middle of the table, Poland remains comfortably in 1st place with a margin of 273 points in relation to Egypt, which is now the most direct competitor for the title of the Nations Cup U21. It will take a real "miracle" to remove the potential title from the Poles! 😅

Our guest in Blog of the Nations, won the League 3EF in round 3 of the qualifying phase, please give a warm welcome to @Jokinho19 🇭🇺 👏👏

Q : You were called to participate in this competition, as an U21 manager, and you won a league in round 3. Do you expect to be called to the main National team? Why?
A : Of course yes, it is always an honour to represent our national team, it is a great challenge to participate in such an event and I thank TusA18 for his trust.

Q : What is your opinion of game improvements, such as player position or nationality bonus?
A : It was a great move by the developers to make the game even more complex and precise, and I hope for more good development like this.

Q : GB recently launched an event, which they called "Mission : The North Macedonia star". How do you see these new events?
A : I have not heard of the event.

Q : If it were possible to have an Academy, where you could promote players to the first team, throughout the season, do you think it would be a good improvement for the game? Why?
A : I think so, it would make the game even better and more colourful, it's always a pleasure to meet young talented managers, it's time to help them.

Thank you @Jokinho19 for this great interview! You had an excellent qualifying phase and earned the confidence of the National coach to represent your country in the Final of the Nations Cup U21, and you have been one of the best in the Hungarian lineup! Keep up the good work and maybe you'll be called up to the main National team! Good luck to you and to Hungary! 🇭🇺 👊

We close this Blog of the Nations with the certainty that we will be back tomorrow with news and dedication as always! Support your National teams! Your country needs you! 🤗

    Hello my friends,

"Saying that football is just a game is like saying that music is just noise." - Iniesta

Today the 22nd round was played and it was decided who is the champion of the Nations Cup U21! 🏆
And the champion is... Poland U21! 👏👏

Let's see how the last round went and how the Standing Table was ordered.

    Standing Table - Round 22

    Standing Table - Round 22.jpeg

The last journey confirmed the results that had been registered for a few journeys. Thus, Poland confirmed the 1st place with 720 points, thus becoming the 1st champion of the Nations Cup U21!
In 2nd place was Italia with 528 points. Egypt completed the podium, taking 3rd place with 485 points.
In 4th place was Hungary with 431 points, followed by Brazil which was in 5th place with 412 points, in 6th place was Spain with 394 points.
In 7th place was Portugal with 350 points, followed by Peru which was in 8th place with 286 points, in 9th place was Australia with 224 points.
In 10th place were the U.A.E. with 199 points, followed by Morocco in 11th place with 127 points, and in 12th place was Azerbaijan with 71 points.

We salute the new champion: Poland 🇵🇱, which was extremely strong since the 1st round, and therefore a fair winner with almost 200 points ahead of the 2nd place!
Congratulate Italy 🇮🇹 and Egypt 🇪🇬 for their respective places of honor, 2nd and 3rd places also fully deserved, as it was the National teams that tried to "follow" the pace of Poland and that for a longer time occupied these positions, revealing great consistency and competitiveness.
Salute everyone who participated in this Final of the Nations Cup U21, who fought to obtain the best possible results.
We hope you all had fun and enjoyed this new experience. As well as we appreciate all the support we received from both the National teams and the community in general.
In the next few days, we will be publishing the champions' banners and also the 2nd and 3rd places. We will have the usual performance tables by National team, as well as banners for the winners of the individual awards from the Final and also from the qualifying round.
We still have a few more surprises! So stay tuned! 😉

In the 98th edition of Blog of the Nations, we celebrate the first Nations Cup U21 champion, and we also celebrate the future, as that was our purpose when we designed this competition. The future of National teams, which from now on will have an annual competition, which will allow them to give less experienced coaches an opportunity to evolve in a context of high competition, and to renew their resources, an opportunity for the future also for all young coaches who aspire to represent their countries, which thus have a new expectation and experience to evolve. ☯

    NC U21 2022 LOGO.jpeg

    Hello my friends,

"Suspicion always haunts the guilty conscience; the thief sees a policeman in every shadow." - William Shakespeare

This topic was authorized by @SpecialOne

    We´re back!! 😉

    .
After the 1st edition that we launched last year this new competition for the U21 National teams, we now present the new edition!

You can check Nations Cup U21 2021 here.

Before we begin the official presentation of this new edition, let's introduce the new members of the WNC staff:

    El-Último-Inca (Carbajal)
    Andryd22 (Andrea)

We hope that you have fun with us and that you can help make this new edition of the competition an equal or greater success than the previous one. Welcome to the family! 🤝

The 1st change that you may have noticed by the competition's Logo is the name that changes from Nations Cup U21 to World Nations Cup U21.

The competition will be based on a new format, consisting of 2 phases: Group Stage and Knockout Phase, and with a new competitive model that will be the use of the Friendly Battle League!

By basing the competition on Friendly Battles, we will effectively have Nation vs Nation battles and this will also allow the Knockout Phase to be made in fact by elimination providing a Final between the 2 best U21 National teams with the aim of finding the new U21 World Champion in 2022! 🙌

    .
As you can see in the image below, which is just a random example.

    NC U21 Knockout phase.png

    .
You can check WNC U21 2022 Regulation here.

All information regarding the competition will also be published on the WhatApp Nation Cup Representatives channel.

    NC U21 2022 LOGO.jpeg

    Hello my friends,

"Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success." - Edward Everett Hale

We will continue to present the WNC U21 2022.

But first, we want to thank SpecialOne for once again trusting and supporting this new initiative by the WNC staff. 🤝

This competition continues to be based on 2 fundamental principles: Nationality and the criterion of the U21 manager.

As in the original version, all managers participating in the competition on behalf of their National teams must be of the nationality of the country they are representing.

As for the U21 manager criterion, and after having registered suggestions from the National coaches who participated in the 1st edition, we decided to change the maximum number of games in all slots, which in this edition will be 850 games.

Therefore, for a manager to be considered U21, he will have to meet these requirements:

➡ Have at least 150 games on any of the 4 slots

➡ Have a maximum of 850 games on all 4 slots

Example of a lineup that meets the U21 manager requirements:

Player A - G1 (has 850 games in the slot with more games)
Player B - G3 (has 530 games in the slot with more games)
Player C - G5 (has 155 games in the slot with more games)
Player D - G7 (has 217 games in the slot with more games)
Player E - G9 (has 3434 games in the slot with more games)

Player F - Substitute 1 (has 465 games in the slot with more games)
Player G - Substitute 2 (has 465 games in the slot with more games)
Player H - Substitute 3 (has 5211 games in the slot with more games)

As you can see in the example above, 6 U21 managers and 2 non-U21 managers were called up, and the minimum and maximum games were respected in this call, the non-U21 managers do not have any maximum game limit and must have more than 850 games on all slots.

Heads up! U21 managers who are called to represent their U21 National team will only be able to do so as long as they have not represented their main National team in the last 2 competitions (NC 2021 and WNC 2022).

Each National coach must call a minimum of 7 managers and a maximum of 10.

It will continue to be allowed to call up non-U21 managers, a maximum of 2, which can only be used in the Group Stage, this decision is optional and is up to the National coach only.

In the Knockout Phase, only U21 managers will be allowed.

In the initial lineup, which now consists of 5 managers (G1, G3, G5, G7 and G9), 4 of these managers must be U21 and the other can be non-U21, or it can be all 5 U21 managers.

If there is a need to make a substitution during one of the 3 rounds of the Group Stage, a U21 manager can only be replaced by another U21 manager, if it is a non-U21 manager that needs to be replaced, he can be replaced by another non-U21 manager or by a U21 manager.

Each substitution made during the course of a round will incur a 20 point penalty if made before the start of the round and with 24 hours notice to the WNC staff there will be no penalty.

You can check WNC U21 2022 Regulation here.

"Knowledge is telling the past. Wisdom is predicting the future." - W. Timothy Garvey

Today we will continue to present the WNC U21 2022.

But before that, let's update the list of National teams that have already registered:

    Argentina U21 🇦🇷
    Kazakhstan U21 🇰🇿
    Portugal U21 🇵🇹
    Colombia U21 🇨🇴
    Ecuador U21 🇪🇨
    Poland U21 🇵🇱
    Venezuela U21 🇻🇪
    Iraq U21 🇮🇶
    Brazil U21 🇧🇷

The competition will have 2 distinct phases:

Group Stage - 24 National Teams*

Knockout Phase - 16 National Teams

*In case there are more than 24 National teams registered and multiples of 4 that allow the creation of new qualifying groups, the update will be made, however, only 16 National teams will continue to be counted for the Knockout Phase.

In the Group Stage the National teams will be drawn and distributed into 6 qualifying groups of 4 National teams each.

    195f4746-4ee4-4679-a82c-bf8dcd785074-image.png
This image is just an example

The National Teams draw that will take place after the registration phase has closed will have the NC U21 Ranking 2021 as a criterion for the formation of the 4 pots.

    6634810f-d0cc-4c5e-9052-c8350e9f8bec-image.png

The National teams will be separated by the 4 pots in descending order of ranking and each pot will have 6 National teams.

    36d2ddc2-8aea-499f-832e-0b903eaa8cc8-image.png
This image is just an example

Pot 1 - Top 6 National Teams in the NC U21 Ranking

Pot 2 - National teams from 7th to 12th place in the NC U21 Ranking

Pot 3 - National teams ranked 13th to 18th in the NC U21 Ranking

Pot 4 - National teams from 19th to 24th in the NC U21 Ranking

Therefore, in each qualifying group there will be 1 team from each pot that will avoid the formation of "groups of death" and make the competition fairer and more balanced.

    Qualify for the Knockout Phase:

➡ All winners of the 6 qualifying groups.

➡ All 2nd places in the 6 qualifying groups.

➡ The 4 best 3rd places among the 6 qualifying groups.

The criteria that will serve to break 2 or more National teams, in descending order, will be:

»» The difference between points (battle points) obtained and points lost.

»» The direct confrontation between the 2 National teams.

»» The number of points (battle points) obtained.

"It's hard to get lost if you don't know where you're going." - Jim Jarmusch

We are 6 days away from the closing of the National teams registration phase, and this is the current situation:

    Argentina U21 🇦🇷
    Kazakhstan U21 🇰🇿
    Portugal U21 🇵🇹
    Colombia U21 🇨🇴
    Ecuador U21 🇪🇨
    Poland U21 🇵🇱
    Venezuela U21 🇻🇪
    Iraq U21 🇮🇶
    Brazil U21 🇧🇷
    Egypt U21 🇪🇬
    France U21 🇫🇷
    Uruguay U21 🇺🇾
    Turkey U21 🇹🇷
    Italy U21 🇮🇹
    Belgium U21 🇧🇪
    Indonesia U21 🇮🇩
    India U21 🇮🇳
    Algeria U21 🇩🇿

The National teams registration window will remain open, even if the expected total of 24 National teams is reached before 31/8, because in addition to the possibility of an extension of the total number of National teams in the Group Stage, one National team will only be effectively considered a participant, after registering the lineup for the Group Stage.

This measure aims not only to prevent teams controlled by the CPU as a result of a withdrawal, but also to ensure that there will be no misunderstanding on the part of any National coach who has not understood that the WNC U21 2022 is a competition intended for U21 National teams.

In short, a manager to be considered U21 must meet 3 requirements:

➡ Have at least 150 games in 1 of the 4 slots

➡ No more than 850 games on all 4 slots

➡ Not having represented the main National team in the last 2 competitions (NC 21 and WNC 22)

What are you waiting for?! Register your National team now!! 😉

Now let´s talk a little bit about lineup and lineup registration. The National teams should have at least 7 managers registered (5 in the initial lineup + 2 reserves) and a maximum of 10 (5 in the initial lineup + 5 reserves).

This is an example of a correct lineup for the Group Stage:

    G1 - non U21 manager (more than 850 games)
    G3 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    G5 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    G7 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    G9 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)

Reserve 1 - non U21 manager (more than 850 games)
    Reserve 2 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    Reserve 3 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    Reserve 4 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    Reserve 5 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)

Another example of a correct lineup for the Group Stage:

    G1 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    G3 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    G5 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    G7 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    G9 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)

    Reserve 1 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    Reserve 2 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    Reserve 3 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    Reserve 4 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    Reserve 5 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)

Now an example of a incorrect lineup for the Group Stage:

    G1 - non U21 manager (more than 850 games)
    G3 - non U21 manager (more than 850 games)
    G5 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    G7 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    G9 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)

    Reserve 1 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    Reserve 2 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    Reserve 3 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    Reserve 4 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    Reserve 5 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)

Another example of a incorrect lineup for the Group Stage:

    G1 - non U21 manager (more than 850 games)
    G3 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    G5 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    G7 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    G9 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)

Reserve 1 - non U21 manager (more than 850 games)
Reserve 2 - non U21 manager (more than 850 games)
    Reserve 3 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    Reserve 4 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)
    Reserve 5 - U21 manager (between 150 and 850 games)

This means that the National teams can register 2 non U21 managers, but only 1 can be in the initial lineup and another in the reserves.

As for the lineup registration, there will only be 2 windows for National coaches to do so.

The 1st will be for the entire Group Stage (3 rounds) and will start on the 2nd of September and end on the 7th.

The 2nd will be after the end of the Group Stage and after the publication of the final results, which will determine which National teams will qualify for the Knockout Phase, and will serve for this entire phase (1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and Final).

This process will be different from last year's edition, in which there were windows for the registration of the lineup between each round, because this year the competition will only start in September unlike last year which started in June, and the objective is to complete the competition before the end of the year with the award of the title of 2022 U21 World Champion.

So each National coach should use these 2 windows to register the lineup for the 2 phases, this will imply that the form will also be different from last year, as it will have the distinction of lineups per round/knockout thus covering the entire competition.

Before the opening of the lineup registration for the Group Stage we will publish a walkthrough explaining how to proceed.

It will continue to be possible to make substitutions in the lineup without penalty as long as they are communicated to the WNC staff within 24 hours prior to the start of the round/knockout as provided for in the WNC U21 2022 regulations.

"Success is the sum of small efforts - repeated day in and day out." - Robert Collier

The window to register National teams remains open until the 31st of August at 23:59 CEST and this is the current situation:

    Argentina U21 🇦🇷
    Kazakhstan U21 🇰🇿
    Portugal U21 🇵🇹
    Colombia U21 🇨🇴
    Ecuador U21 🇪🇨
    Poland U21 🇵🇱
    Venezuela U21 🇻🇪
    Iraq U21 🇮🇶
    Brazil U21 🇧🇷
    Egypt U21 🇪🇬
    France U21 🇫🇷
    Uruguay U21 🇺🇾
    Turkey U21 🇹🇷
    Italy U21 🇮🇹
    Indonesia U21 🇮🇩
    Índia U21 🇮🇳
    Algeria U21 🇩🇿
    Spain U21 🇪🇸
    Peru U21 🇵🇪

19 National teams are registered and we hope that many more can register by the end of this phase.

Haven't registered your National team yet? Do it now! 😉

Today we are going to talk about the new competitive model that will allow a direct confrontation between the National teams: Friendly Battle.

This league is made up of 10 teams: 5 from the Blue team (Home) and 5 from the Red team (Away) with equal objectives for both teams which are: G1, G3, G5, G7 and G9.

The teams also have similar budgets as you can see in the image below.

    ab47b7ce-5108-4f54-a5ee-9ae2a1ad797b-image.png

After the lineup registration is done, each manager must choose his team according to the objective that was intended for him, to avoid penalty for choosing the wrong team.

For example, in Group A in Round 1, Portugal plays at home against Spain and this was the lineup registration:

    Portugal 🇵🇹
    G1 - Manager A - PM
    G3 - Manager B
    G5 - Manager C
    G7 - Manager D
    G9 - Manager E

    Spain 🇪🇸
    G1 - Manager F
    G3 - Manager G
    G5 - Manager H
    G7 - Manager I
    G9 - Manager J

    Portugal 🇵🇹 vs Spain 🇪🇸

Teams should be chosen in this way:

    Manager A (PM) - Team Blue 1 - G1 Portugal 🇵🇹 - Squad value 119M
    Manager F - Team Red 1 - G1 Spain 🇪🇸 - Squad value 120M
    Manager B - Team Blue 3 - G3 Portugal 🇵🇹 - Squad value 99.6M
    Manager G - Team Red 3 - G3 Spain 🇪🇸 - Squad value 99.8M
    Manager C - Team Blue 5 - G5 Portugal 🇵🇹 - Squad value 79.6M
    Manager H - Team Red 5 - G5 Spain 🇪🇸 - Squad value 79.7M
    Manager D - Team Blue 7 - G7 Portugal 🇵🇹 - Squad value 59.8M
    Manager I - Team Red 7 - G7 Spain 🇪🇸 - Squad value 59.6M
    Manager E - Team Blue 9 - G9 Portugal 🇵🇹 - Squad value 39.8M
    Manager J - Team Red 9 - G9 Spain 🇪🇸 - Squad value 39.9M

As you can see, it's very easy to understand and choose the right team, just be aware and know which National teams play at home (Blue Team) or away (Red Team).

The list of the lineup and the clashes between National teams will always be published in this way with all the information clear and simple.

Don't know where you can register your National team? Right here! 😉

You can register your National team here.

    BB CORNER.jpg

As in the 1st edition, we once again invited a specialist in OSM and in particular dedicated to the U21 National teams.

And today, we have the pleasure, to present our guest, which will monitor the development of the competition, and of the National teams that will participate in it, bringing statistics and curiosities about the teams. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome our specialist : Beats Bytes!! 😎

WNC: Welcome! Thank you for accepting our invitation again for this edition of the WNC U21!

BB: Thanks for the warm welcome! And it's a pleasure to be commenting again on the development of the WNC U21 which will certainly be an excellent competition!

WNC: Speaking of competition, what do you think of the new WNC U21 format?

BB: There have been several changes, starting with the name and even the WNC staff! I believe that the use of the Friendly Battle League is an upgrade in the competition that in fact allows a direct confrontation between the National teams. The change is even more pronounced in the Knockout Phase, which will have a Final between the 2 best National teams of this competition for the 1st time. It has everything to be a great success and mark a new era in these competitions!

WNC: There was also a change in the concept of the U21 manager. How do you see this change?

BB: Well, competitions have to evolve and adapt to the reality of the global OSM community. I think that after the introduction of the U21 manager concept in the 1st edition, it turned out to be natural to keep these parameters and increase the maximum number of games to 850, which was also something that some National coaches asked for at the time. It will always be an idea that will have its pros and cons that will fuel the debate within the community. The OSM communities are not uniform, each one has its peculiarities, and it is necessary to know how to balance the solutions to be as inclusive as possible. The main objective of the WNC staff has been towards the sustainability of the National teams and their future and I am convinced that by maintaining a constructive dialogue with all those involved in this universe, solutions will continue to appear and guarantee that we will continue to have interesting competitions of National teams.

WNC: The basic idea of WNC U21 is to launch new managers who can one day reach the main National team. Do you think this goal was achieved last year?

BB: In fact the U21 National team of any Nation should be a "nursery" of managers for the main National team. However, we have to bear in mind that in both last year's and this year's editions, the use of a non U21 manager is allowed on the Group Stage. This rule also brings something different to the competition, as it allows the use of a more experienced manager who can help his "younger" colleagues and at the same time also gives the opportunity for National coaches to evaluate the performance of that manager already in view of a possible use in the main National team. As I said in the previous answer, the OSM communities are different from each other, the National coach's work is fundamental to correctly manage the managers he has at his disposal, but first he has to do a serious scouting job, especially in the communities smaller in number of managers, to find potential players for the National team U21. Last year we saw several managers that were launched in the competition and some of them could be used this year, now with another year of experience in the game but also in the competition, because one thing is to observe managers in a national league where only managers compete of the same nationality and even in a friendly battle, another thing is to evaluate your performance in a competition like the WNC U21 where the best U21 National teams and also the best U21 managers will be and everyone wants to win!

WNC: At the time of this interview, registration for National teams to participate is still ongoing. Do you think this edition will have a greater participation?

BB: Well if that happens it will be an extraordinary feat! It would also be a sign that the importance of the existence of a U21 National team and of this type of competition would have been assimilated by more communities and Nations. Traditionally, there are communities/nations that do not feel the same interest in this type of competition and do not see the need to have a U21 National team. And this is something that the WNC staff has tried to reverse by captivating the interest of these communities/nations and showing the importance for the future of National teams supported by this U21 concept that will allow them to renew their "resources" and reinforce their competitive potential. Anyway, as in so many things in life, change/evolution is something that is initially strange and then ingrained!

WNC: Thank you Beats Bytes for this enlightening interview and we look forward to reading the next articles you will publish about this year's competition already!

BB: I am grateful for this new opportunity that the WNC staff has given me to continue to follow the competition and to see the new talents of OSM who will be the future stars of their National teams!
