NEW: Missions
Introducing a new kind of challenge in OSM: Missions. Missions are all about using your manager skills to work towards an objective. Unlike with Events, no changes are made to the gameplay. Your effort and skill will decide. And to finish it off, there's a special prize for the winner.
First Mission: the North Macedonian World Star
North Macedonia did well in Euro 2020 but they didn't manage to become real world stars. This Mission is about picking up where they left off. What's your job? Turning a North Macedonian player into a World Star (100+) during the Mission.
This Mission runs from September 7, 10 AM to September 10, 10 AM (CEST). If you manage to get a World Star North Macedonian player, you completed the Mission. A randomly selected winner will get a Champions League match worn jersey of the legendary Goran Pandev at Napoli. Please note: Special leagues are excluded. Good luck
NEW: GIORGIO CHIELLINI MISSION
The next event in the Chiellini series is the Giorgio Chiellini Mission. We've created one to honour Chiellini's greatest skill: preventing goals.You have to choose a side during this Mission. Either keep clean sheets with Chiellini's Career XI against top clubs or beat Chiellini's Career XI by scoring more than 3 goals against them.
Both aren't going to be easy. We brought the best players Chiellini played with but rivals Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and AC Milan haven't come empth-handed either.
Complete the Mission by joining the Chiellini Mission League and either win the League with Chiellini's Career XI with 0 goals against or wint he League with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or AC Milan and scoring more than 3 goals against Chiellini's Career XI.
The managers who completed the Mission will have a chance of winning a signed Chiellini jersey.

The England Cup Mission is all about cup fighting. Manchester United won the Cup 12 times, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur 8 times. We thought it was time for a new winner.
During this Mission, you will have to be that new winner. If you can win the England Cup with a club that's not currently in the first tier, you'll complete the Mission.
So get a job at Cardiff, Fulham, Middlesbrough, Luton, Cambridge, Kidderminster, Nottenham, Peterborough, QPR, Plymouth, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Stoke, Wigan, Coventry, Hartlepool, Bournemouth or Boreham and win the England Cup!
One manager that completed the Mission will win a football jersey of choice. It's allowed to participate with multiple manager slots.

@specialone Why can't I resign from the mission? I lost the first match against Chiellini's Italy because of a red card, so I think I can never complete the mission in the next 2 days.

Again: An announcement to keep an account free for a mission is too late when we need a free account in 2 days. A regular league like England takes 47 days and that will be 63 days when we reach to the final of a Winners Cup with an English team. So at least 3 weeks before would be nice and even than we have to be not unlucky that we have just joined 4 new leagues.And we don't want people to resign from our league because they want to play a mission.

Indeed, an extra slot for everyone that can only be used for missions would solve all issues.
But besides that I think you need a really good real life friend who plays OSM for this promotion, you don't just want to go on holiday with some crewmate you never met in real life before.

I hope the allocated time to enable users join this account will be at least 10 days given some of us have our accounts fully booked. Currently participating in OSM: Travel League with 3 of my accounts. The last one is for a fantasy tournament.
