Avatar update
-
@harry-poon Now everything can interfere with avatars. Color, symbol, pattern, shape. Maybe there will be cool, nice avatars. However, this will not make any impression on adult players
-
Anyway, complaining won't make them step back on their decision, so i will stop complaining and think as if nothing happen. Having no custom avatar won't stop me playing OSM as before, I will forget that there is avatar that can be added on your profile
-
@maniek_56 I think that's a good point and one of the negative effects of this update. But let's see how it plays out.
-
@harry-poon What about usernames? When will you remove that as well as words can be offensive ans inappropriate as well? Crew names as well? When are you removing that?
Just give us User IDs and Crew IDs. We must be safe! -
@harry-poon Hi! As on all good games, the tool is the possibility for the community to report inappropriate content. This "update avatar" just shows the main problem on OSM : no customer service. My experience in one month : 3 mails and no answer, I report a mistake about a squad on world forum, no change after one month and on French forum a guy is waiting for someone to solve a bug since three months... lol The true is that you choose this option because you don't have enough people to manage avatar reports. User experience is not your priority.
-
@harry-poon It would be better to implement an option to report an offensive profile or photo, but this would be a bit more work and would not bring money... which is more important than listening to the OSM Players who bring the game to life...
-
Is it perhaps possible to integrate a generator for crew emblems into the game? Where we can maybe choose a text, numbers, colors, logos etc. ourselves?
So the crews would at least have the possibility to create something personal, with which we can identify a little.
Of course this wouldn't be comparable to the existing crew logos, but at least it would be better than just being able to choose a standard logo.
-
@harry-poon Will Julian Nagelsmanns avatar be avaiable in OSM?
-
@ado-hackovic Yes, there will also be a Madonna.
-
Hi I would like to ask, is it OSM that allows Alibaba to put this ad?
Sorry to put this on the forum but I thought OSM was trying to throw away inappropriate things️
-
@fear-force this is different
-
@fear-force this depends on your cookies... i recommend to watch porn in browsers "private mode"
-
@markusrw5 What is porn??
-
@markusrw5 It isn't porn, it's simply an ad of the Alibaba company. However, the ad isn't the most appropriate
-
@xinyanggan but adds depend on cookies. so whether he or someone else with the same IP in the household searches for such things.
-
@markusrw5 Hey but i don't use Alibaba.
-
@fear-force said in Avatar update:

it is not about what you use. When you visit any site, this site is saveing cookies on your computer, sometimes (e.g. google, amazon) store them in coordination with the IP adress used. If you now surf on any site which is playing advertisment, the cookies will be used to see what you are interested in. Then there will be an advertisment which fits your last earches or pages you have visited.

@majstor-matt Yes, we will also be looking to implement moderation of manager names. At first for new names so offensive content is blocked when creating a manager or Crew.
-
@alfonso75 We will be working on reporting as well. But still, we won't be able to cover everything and that's necessary.
-
@fear-force Thanks for reporting, I'll check with colleagues if we can do something about it.
