White Stripes are a great pop-rock band but for whatever reason, I prefer Jack Whites other incarnation the Dead Weather -

But they just get pipped at the post for me by BRMC,

who are jaw-droppingly good live. Saw them for the first time in a small club in Dresden in their early days before their move onto bigger sounds and stages -
