As an old player (46 years old) I belong to another "video-gamer's generation", (mostly mmorpg as Ultima On Line, Dark Age of Camelot and so on....) where the "pay 4 win"had not yet been conceived as a concept.
I "stopped" on OSM because I met very nice people but especially because the "pay4win" is quite balanced and not too decisive.
But this type of initiatives make me a pretty skeptical

I hate criticising GB every other day but they don't make things any easier for us...
In my opinion this is the worst event so far. Who will be added after legends ? Celebrities ? This makes no sense... Instead of making the game as realistic as possible (adding fluid formations or more in depth tactic etc.) GB adds legend players (?!). I'm very dissapointed with this.
On the other hand, this is purely cosmetics (I dont think these players will be any better then their modern collegues but they will cost a lot more) and an attempt of milking money from P2W users which i don't think will live up but it still makes me think - what's next ?!
As it seems to me this game is heading in a completely wrong direction

Who thought of this idea for GB? Give them their P45 and sack them
why don’t you listen to the customers, you know people that pay to play the game. I’m sure all the people that made and thought of this event will be buying all the Legends on the transfer list 
Everyone would have been very happy with a transfer frenzy/deadline day by the way

It's legit that you don't like the event, same way as it's legit other users don't like the transfer frenzy, and others don't like friendlies, etc, etc...
What is required is that you complaint and provide your opinion always between the boundaries of respect. You're pushing these boundaries for quite some time. Please take some time to chill out to avoid further actions!

@SpecialOne There will always be those who will do ridiculous and illogical things, just as there were those people who wasted tens of thousands BC's to win 10% of that by building a team that is worth 6billions.
But the fact remains that these P2W events are always bringing disgust to us more active managers that are using forums and give constructive oppinions on a regular basis. But we get it, thats how capitalism works. You guys are not volounters and that is okay, but it would be nice If there would be a sign that you guys also listen to us who are posting our opinions and give you guys a feedback about those changes.
LIke the thing is with "legendary ranking". I have seen already couple times that I am not the only one mentioning that there could be some kind of secondary ranking that would give more appreciation to long time managers and that would show how many points have someone collected in his OSM career. It doesnt have to be official or anyhitng like that, this new ranking is not bad.. but just saying that some kind of legacy ranking would be a really great idea and Im sure that plenty of legends that have retired from the game due to the ranking changes couple years ago wouldnt left so easily If there was more appreciation to all that they have done in this game.

@SpecialOne Stop threatening to ban players if they out themselves negatively. I agree that people should not make insults, but people should be able to be critical without being worried for a punishment.
I can fully understand the arguments that managers are making here about the promotion. 100BC for ONE player is crazy. Managers that buy these players might be managers that are less experienced than most of us here, which means that they might have a harder time understanding that 100BC for such a player is a really bad deal. The idea of legends is allright, but the execution we see today is abysmal!
And that is exactly the problem. Gamebasics is increasingly going for the easy money, trying to lure players in with things like this. I am 100% certain that other stuff like this will follow as well. And that ladies and gentlemen, is the beginning of the end for this game.

choice is it?Plus this event only favors people with high amount of boss coins, and even a lot of those people see how much of a rip-off it is, so for people with a low amount of boss coins, this is like no weekend event at all. If we had to have this trash weekend event, at least give us a transfer frenzy or double bc weekend, something that actually makes it a weekend event.
And weekend events are supposed to be something that gives us fun and a way and give us an advantage for a few days, but this event is more of a setback to your bc than an advantage.
