Real Madrid offer Isco a six-year contract
n a week that has seen Isco linked with a potential move to fierce rivals Barcelona, Real Madrid have made their move and offered the midfielder a six-year contract extension. The 24-year-old is the subject of interest from other clubs due to the fact his current deal is set to expire in June 2018.Heading into the final 12 months of the deal presents the club with all sorts of problems and it is little surprise Los Blancos have moved to secure the future of one of their younger stars it is no secret that Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Karim Benzema aren't going to be around forever and at some stage creative responsibility has to be handed to the former Malaga playmaker.Manchester City have twice tried to sign him and if he were to leave the Spanish capital there would undoubtedly be clubs queuing up to make the Spaniard an offer. This is what has forced Real Madrid's hand and they have put an offer worth six million euros per year on the table which would run until June 2040 at that point Isco would be 32 years old and the contract, in theory, guarantees the club his best years.Zinedine Zidane hasn't quite been able to use him on too regular a basis this term but there is very much a feeling that if he is patient, he will soon be a regular starter. This is reflected by the offer which would rather sensationally triple his current salary and catapult him into the upper echelon of Los Blancos' wage structure.Despite having only started 13 LaLiga matches this term, a return of six goals and five assists is incredibly impressive and it is little surprise the club have absolutely no interest in allowing Isco to leave.

Gameiro wanted by China
Atletico Madrid are preparing for an onslaught for both their strikers in the upcoming transfer window with Kevin Gameiro subject to a huge offer from the Chinese Super League.Given the previous 42 million euro sale of Jackson Martinez to Guangzhou Evergrande, a similar move is being made for Gameiro as the economic powerhouses within the Asian nation feel that Diego Simeone's side are susceptible to a large bid. However FIFA's transfer ban must be considered by Atleti, the fate of which will be determined by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on April 24 when a decision on their appeal is made. If their protests are rejected, the Madrid club will make every attempt to hold onto the forward until at least 2018.For now, though, Los Colchoneros are left to consider who might replace the Frenchman if the summer deal were to go ahead, and Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette is their prime target.Atletico have already held meetings with the player and his Ligue 1 club to gauge a hypothetical transfer, which is believed to be price up as at least 40m euros.Such a fee pales in comparison, however, to the estimated 20m euro annual salary available to Gameiro in China, placing him alongside the likes of Oscar and Alexandre Pato as top European players moving east. Were the switch to take place, it would continue the pattern of Chinese football throwing every penny at growing the stature of football across the country, contributing to their wider dream of hosting the 2026 or 2030 World Cup.

Real Madrid's LaLiga pursuit in the hands of the fringe players
Nine games in one month, including a Champions League quarter-final, a local derby, and the Clasico will see Zinedine Zidane continue with his rotation policy, leaving the second string in charge of a large number of games.Alaves, Leganes, Sporting Gijon, Deportivo La Coruna and Valencia are all pencilled in across the coming weeks and Real Madrid know that the boss' ideal line-up must be rested during these so-called lesser encounters.Naturally, the preferred XI that includes the likes of Keylor Navas, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Luka Modric, Casemiro, and BBC will be tasked with beating Bayern, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid, but many of these players are in their late-20s or early-30s and overworking them could have disastrous consequences. This would continue the common theme of Zidane's tenure, with positive results so far in so much as Los Blancos leading LaLiga with two points and a game spare.First up in April will be a trip to Alaves and Leganes, which come in quick succession after the international break before the last-eight first leg away at Munich.

Rafinha's future at Barcelona in doubt
It is undoubtedly going to be a summer of change at the Camp Nou and Rafinha may well be one individual involved with his future at Barcelona currently in significant doubt. The Brazilian is going to have to make a lot of important decisions in the coming weeks with it clear that he hasn't played as much football as he would have liked this season in previous years Luis Enrique's constant rotation policy would have handed players such as Rafinha a chance of first-team football, however it is no secret the 24-year-old expected to be a regular starter this season. This lack of consistent football has led to the playmaker becoming increasingly more frustrated given his desire to succeed at the club where he has spent most of his career.Given his age, Rafinha is coming to a crossroads in his professional life and he must soon make a choice with it clear there is no shortage of clubs interested in him.His future depends almost exclusively on how many minutes he receives in Los Cules' remaining fixtures this season. The LaLiga title race is heading towards its conclusion and in truth every match is now a final for both Real Madrid and the Blaugrana. This attitude could well see Luis Enrique's rotation policy fall by the wayside which would allow Rafinha to build some momentum and hold down a place in the team. There is also the small matter of who exactly will coach the team next season with a replacement for the departing Asturian still not finalised.Whilst there may have been complaints about minutes, Rafinha is in actual fact one of the first choice names for the position on the right hand side in a 3-4-3 system.Luis Enrique's preference for this system has handed the Brazilian a fixed role within the team and it is unclear if this would remain the case if another coach arrived and elected to use a totally different formation. -
Sampaoli specifies conditions under which he'd stay at Sevilla
It has been a difficult few weeks at Sevilla as a poor run of form has seen them farther from their objectives, and now further uncertainty has submerged the club given the future of important figures such as coach Jorge Sampaoli or Sporting Director Monchi.Although the Argentine still has a year left on his contract, it is all up in the air for the time being.Club president Castro still wants Sampaoli to stay as does most of the fanbase, but the coach has his own requirements in mind. The ex-Chile boss is known to only continue if he truly believes in the sporting project, and in this selective approach he also follows in the footsteps of his idol Marcelo Bielsa.Sampaoli wants to make sure the players that the club can promise him are of his liking before letting the Andalusian club know of his continuity, as it'll determine how viable he thinks the objectives set out are to reach. If Monchi does leave, how the club approaches the market will be key in determining whether the Argentine stays, and without the sporting director around, he'd be the lone face of the club and their new direction. -
