@SpecialOne There will always be those who will do ridiculous and illogical things, just as there were those people who wasted tens of thousands BC's to win 10% of that by building a team that is worth 6billions.
But the fact remains that these P2W events are always bringing disgust to us more active managers that are using forums and give constructive oppinions on a regular basis. But we get it, thats how capitalism works. You guys are not volounters and that is okay, but it would be nice If there would be a sign that you guys also listen to us who are posting our opinions and give you guys a feedback about those changes.
LIke the thing is with "legendary ranking". I have seen already couple times that I am not the only one mentioning that there could be some kind of secondary ranking that would give more appreciation to long time managers and that would show how many points have someone collected in his OSM career. It doesnt have to be official or anyhitng like that, this new ranking is not bad.. but just saying that some kind of legacy ranking would be a really great idea and Im sure that plenty of legends that have retired from the game due to the ranking changes couple years ago wouldnt left so easily If there was more appreciation to all that they have done in this game.

@SpecialOne Stop threatening to ban players if they out themselves negatively. I agree that people should not make insults, but people should be able to be critical without being worried for a punishment.
I can fully understand the arguments that managers are making here about the promotion. 100BC for ONE player is crazy. Managers that buy these players might be managers that are less experienced than most of us here, which means that they might have a harder time understanding that 100BC for such a player is a really bad deal. The idea of legends is allright, but the execution we see today is abysmal!
And that is exactly the problem. Gamebasics is increasingly going for the easy money, trying to lure players in with things like this. I am 100% certain that other stuff like this will follow as well. And that ladies and gentlemen, is the beginning of the end for this game.

Lets bring some logic to this event: Would you rather buy a 95 ovr Messi, who is more experienced and who cost less bc (15 or 1 bc) and costs less, or a 93 ovr Van der Meijde who is much more expensive, younger and less experienced based on age, and costs 85-99 ovr bc more?! Pretty obvious choice is it?
Plus this event only favors people with high amount of boss coins, and even a lot of those people see how much of a rip-off it is, so for people with a low amount of boss coins, this is like no weekend event at all. If we had to have this trash weekend event, at least give us a transfer frenzy or double bc weekend, something that actually makes it a weekend event.
And weekend events are supposed to be something that gives us fun and a way and give us an advantage for a few days, but this event is more of a setback to your bc than an advantage.
-
@uchenna-a I have boss coin compensation so I should be fine
-
@uchenna-a That's the only reason I bought bergkamp, if it wasn't for bc compensation I would've said no instantly
-
Wow bad few recent weeks for OSM, first the server problems/maintenance, now the trash weekend event, is this the beginning.....of the end of OSM???
Hopefully not, we'll just have to wait and see
@SpecialOne Also are there any pools for choosing weekend events every week or ways for managers to have new weekend events created? If there are pools, why do we never hear of them?
-
@SpecialOne And let me add that it hurts me to say things like this. I know I have been negative about the game recently, but this is because I am genuinely concerned about the direction this game is going into.
-
Basically we are paying 100 coins just to say that we have a legend player ... because the price is normal ... age is always 26, that is, it does not pay to evolve, etc etc ... What is the advantage of buy such a player ???
-
@ChrisTolman
To be honest this is the worst event I have ever seen -
Just bought Totti for last game against Alliance on 10DB. Lets see if it will help

worthy of your posture, I believe that it is the opinion of the majority who has been in this game for the longest time, it is an event created basically for those who play for less time who only participate in app battles and open leagues, devaluing those who play the longest, not even it is valid for forum competitions, I understand that GB values โโmoney and that is not wrong, but it is very sad to see that old players are devalued to that extent!
-
@ChrisTolman
Only noobs that will pay 100coins for a normal player, any day there are no players.
Congratulations to GB, double coin events where you can't even see the videos or even on the PC and now this is to be congratulated

@FeelStrikeX
You can pick up 6 players in the scout of +90 and still have 10 coins for a training field.... -
To be honest I don't understand the complaining. OSM is not a charity, they need money to operate, like every other thing in the world.
If some people want to spend BCs to have a legend in their team, why is that anyone else's business?
You can play this game for free if you want. Just wait until next weekend for another event, what's the problem?
-
-
@Suvven
As it is not a charity, it has and must satisfy the players so that they continue to play and put the money monthly to buy a pack of coins. -
@FeelStrikeX
Ja, that's how a business works, if they lose money on something they stop doing it, if they make money, they continue doing it.Why do people have a problem with other players spending BCs on this if they want to? It's like complaining that you want a Ferrari but they're too expensive, so Ferrari need to lower their prices; then getting angry at every person you see driving one.
If you can't or don't want to pay for something...that's life! Enjoy the free game, guys!

So you're basically saying that game companies are allowed to be greedy whenever they want to. Allright, if thats the thing you like, enjoy your videogames in a few years.
