So yeah, not ideal, but surelly one of the most fair events out there, everyone has the same chance to improve the team, hey just need to be very quick after every transfer sim
We have players from all around the world playing this game. Your last sentence "hey just need to be very quick after every transfer sim" is objectivly true but you cann't ask from Brazilians to stay up all night to "out-F5" their competitors from a European timezone or the other way around. Or to take a free day if you normally work on saturday.
Ofcourse, your reasoning is objectivly right, but I think you could also argue that some people would be in quite a disadvantage because of this event. And before you answer, "that is their choice', that would objectivly also be true. But I think you understand my point. This shouldn't be the way competitions should be decided. Some people can profit from a event and some cann't, in basics that is unfair.

This event is disastrous if you play in really active leagues, but since these leagues are rare (the majority of the leagues on OSM aren't fully occupied with managers refreshing every worker), I can understand that most people like the event as it is.
However, it would still be nice if GB wants to take into account the small part of players that are trying to take the game to its maximum potential in terms of competitiveness. An option to disable weekend events when making a new league would already do the job.

I understand your views guys, and I see that It can be a problem. But in a same way "extreme friendlies" can be a problem as not everyone have 40+ BCs per day to use them and play friendlies during the event. Legends as well, I cant afford 100 BCs to purchase one player... extreme training progression mixed with boss coins usage - I cant stop people in my league to use them and I cant use advantage lf it as well...
So yeah, If you want to look at it that way, every promotion can be a problem on itself. So yeah, not even this one is ideal, but at least it gives me same opportunity as it gives to mr.Richie Rich type who has 1000 bcs per league usage on regular basis, and for me that is good enough.

I think this promotion in general is good. But it would indeed be nice if GB can add more foreign players on the transfer list too, just to prevent that there are only expensive players from other managers on the list in active leagues. I had this in my USA league (24 human teams) last time. GB will also benefit from this because we pay 1 coin for every player we buy from the transfer list.

On top of that crew ranked battles are nothing else but a campfest for those 3 players that appear on the transfer simulation. The transferlist is EMPTY during this event, you can't buy anyone so unless you spend a lot on scout you will finish the event with millions of money and destroyed squad

-July 2020: Weekend Events schedule
This is being requested for quite a lot of you, so we decided to try this out and see how it goes. Depending on community reactions we'll decide if we continue announcing it or if we return to actual system: Announce weekend events 1 or 2 days in advance.
IMPORTANT: This schedule is subject to change.
- July 10 - July 13: Transfer Madness
- July 17 - July 20: Intense Friendlies
- July 24 - July 27: Golden Legends (Golden Oldies x Legends event)
- July 31 - August 3: Super Staff
-
PLEASE. This Event needs Fast Scout too. Im actually in a league with timers off, we can't speed the scout and now we don't have players in transferlist. Please don't ruin our leagues with Events like this one.
-
@SpecialOne For people who are organizing events, this is a blessing!
-
@SpecialOne It's good that you announce the events for a whole month. But why does the Legends event return in July? We had these event 2 or 3 times now and everytime there have been complaints that newbies buy multiple Legends in small leagues (like lower division or Asia/Africa) and that the league is decided every time that happens. They spent all their free boss coins and leave the game after they spent all their coins.
It happened to me once in the Dutch First Division, in the preparation phase a team bought 4 Legends with a lot of BC compensation and was immediately too strong for all the other teams.
I hope you remove the Legends events forever! Events like extreme progression or training madness are much better for 99% of the managers and there is no room for those events now this month. It is also annoying that GameBasics never replied on our comments about Legend events in this thread.
-
How fast do the "oldies" upgrade during the golden oldies event? Is it worth it to keep 89-95 overall? And how old they have to be to get the boost?
-
@SpecialOne Thanks alot!!! From the up votes you can tell that this is really helpful and we ALL would love if it was a new part of the forum monthly from now on. No matter what the events are.
-
When someone else selects my team for a friendly, can I get a boost too? I never play friendly matches myself.
-
@KoningCo Sadly, no. I was suggesting that multiple times alreadly, because Its not that easy to get a positive result in friendly (away match, your best players resting or on training etc.) so it would be nice to get some small boost If you manage to avoid defeat unprepared.. but yeah, It was never an option.

And again no reply by Gamebasics, I see a pattern here...

@AlyssaGB usually the legends in the poster are those that come. Is this just an old poster being reused?
-
how much will they cost?
-
@AlyssaGB I have a problem that is related to the Legends promotion. There is currently no normal player on the transfer list that is better than my starting 11 (account 4, Cantolao, Peru). Normally GB ensures that there are at least a few players that are better than my starting eleven on the transfer list, eventually by adding 100+ skill players. But now there are only 4 legend players (100 coins) and no normal players available for me. Also nobody in my league has bought a player since the last transfer worker. Can you report this to GB?
