New feature: assign squad numbers
Live on the website now, iOS and Android will follow soon.

• You can assign a squad number to a player by clicking on his shirt in Squad
• Squad numbers in existing leagues will be empty
• Squad numbers in new leagues will be filled with the actual squad numbers players have
• Squad numbers don't have impact on the performance in your matches
• Players without a squad number in the Line-up or on the bench will be automatically assigned during the simulation (because every player needs a squad number during the match)

Does this influence the simulation? Or is it purely nice to see?

Do squad numbers have impact on results? I don't get it, should I google numbers of player in real life to assign them to my team

@danteus Absolutely pointless update. It just takes up the space in display of your team that could be used for something more relevant and more useful, like lets say assists next to goals in your squad page.

@majstor-matt Just as I thought. What about nationalities, any impact, how many players of the same nationality I should hoard in one team to get a "bonus"? Or there is no bonus

@danteus There is some bonus I think for 6 players from same nationality, but I dont take that into account. SImply takes too much coins to build the squad that way. Either coins, or either the situation where I should take someone with lets say 82 rating on transfer list instead of someone who has 87 just because the 82 guy has "x" nationality.

Too bad that they are making such weird updates instead of some interesting ones like some new kinds of ranking in managerial points that would add some other dimension to the game instead of this "pay to win" scenario we have now.

Yeah, this is a way of forcing us into spending more boss coins through scout option. But good tip for everyone is never to miss buying cheap ass players with rating under 70 that are available on the beginning of the season. Never have to use them, they can be that nationality bonus. Same old OFM

@danteus Yeah but problem is that only palyers in your starting line up count for that nat.bonus. So you ahve to start those weak players if you want to have effect from them. At least I think that is the way to work it.

In the announcement it is reflected that we are careful when changing the number.

@neverbackdown-2oo9 It surelly does look better, but Izt will never force me to buy worse player from T-list just because of his nationality Always going for the best option based on the price/quality combo

As far as I'm concerned, I can lose every game straight because the fact I won't be forced into buying anything. Ruined crews, battles, forums before, let's see how is this going to backfire

The number 9 for Messi. The 11th for Ronald. Have you ever had to assign the correct numbers? Surely yes. So we've done it ourselves. The numbers in OSM now correspond to the players' numbers. As a coach you can keep changing them if you wish. But be careful, it's a delicate thing for players.

@neverbackdown-2oo9 Yup, scout is mainly the only way to do it If you want to have the quality and nationality at the same time. But to be honest I really dont care about that, as Danteus said, they ruined the game completelly with these pay to win updates so I just keep playing as long as I can and as cheap as I can. Thats why I dont play battles or serious leagues anymore, simply too expensive If you want to be successfull, tactics have fallen in second plan sadly.

@stevemicallef0 No idea, where you've heard that assign numbers has effect on morale etc.
But assigning a number is only visual and does not have any effect on morale or match performance.
