I remember, sadly due to the unneccesary changes in global ranking (which is now filled with inactive players and cheater) we dont have official OSM WC for more than 5 years. So something new is not always great
Anyway, lets see what will this bring, as I said I dont play crew competitions that much anyway so maybe people indeed will like this change in overall. Im curious to see the stats of Comunity league "playability" and "usage" in something like 6months time

If things go really bad, we can even shorten that time!
I really think that shaking things a bit can increase the thrill, but let's see how community will react. I know for a fact that one of the discussions in crews when playing battles sometimes is: "Who will pick the worst team?" Now they'll be all alike, so thatwon't be an argument anymore

Yea, we will see. But as I said, dont count this upcoming CCW season that starts on 10th May, as organizers did not have time to organize the competitions differently so they kept the Community league for it. But there are already talks about transferring next seasons of competition to other leagues potentially.
Yes, there are discussions about "who will take the worst team", but the best teams are built around variability and they must adapt to different situations ans tactical tasks ahead of them. One of the best things around "old style crew battles" was tactical organization on what is priority at certain round (which team/objective must win which games etc.). When you remove differences, you remove strategy and organizational skills as well sadly.
But as I said, lets see how will this go, maybe people indeed will love it. It is hard for us boomers and milenials to understand sometimes new generations
Who knows maybe FIFA also decides that matches will be half an hour games in future, after all people like shorter contents nowadays
