League Updates
-
I think its a time to update the Community Leagues
-
I have a recommendation for proper updates regarding every team/league in the game. You can use the value of the players provided by transfermarkt.com as it is updated regularly. That way you know exact which players are in the team for the current season and also you can establish the attributes of the player based on the real market value.

@yogeek Namaste! What is the interest of this topic? Clauss is still midfield on the game despite of my comment 30 days ago... More of that, no Alexis Sanchez in OM Team, he joined Marseille on August 10th, today is September 6th... I never saw that on a pay-to-win-game... Many mistakes in the squads, always the same events, no customer service, half of players don't have pictures, no programmers to solve avatars problem, no animation, off-putting transfer system etc. I finish my championship and I stop the game. I can't believe that people spend money on this game!!! lol

@andreinicula89 OSM is already based on Transfermarkt.com They have automated the process so any changes on Transfermarkt will take place on OSM quickly.
But Transfermarkt.com also needs time to adjust market values for the new season. For example Dutch Eredivisie update will take place on September 14.

Why is Benjamin Mendy still on the squad of Manchester City? He has been suspended for over a year now, but he's still in the team with a rating of 50...
Can someone explain this please.
Thanks
-
@tielemansjr_nl I think it is because he didn't comeback nor retire from football and maybe he can comeback in the future just like Mason Greenwood in Man United and since he is not playing for a long time his rating is fifty
Thanks,

Hello.
I was surprised to see that you put Messi as a striker with 5 of defense. In the Transfermarkt his position in second striker. As you don't have this position on the game, I think you could leave him as right winger with 20 of defense (much less than he was when was still a RW), or maybe central attacking midfielder. These two options are much more realistic than it is now. I think it is enough to see him playing to know that he is never a striker.

@De-drie-musketiers_NL Why is Dumfries (NL) a MR in the World Cup on OSM? He has always been the DR for NL.
-
Could the Balkan League be updated? It still has the squads from 2020.
My friends and I are playing it regularely but it gets a bit tiersome when it doesent get updated.
-
@IvanAndal Simple yes or now would be awesome, but it looks like its hard to get even that
-
@Majstor-Matt In stead they removed the Arab Cup. One tournament less now...

Dear Admins,
i already write this request on Discord, but I don't know whether there is an official way to ask for a new item on OSM.Currently, there are a lot of competetive leagues as CCW, WNC, Discor Leagues and Leagues from Crews which are "friends". And often it is inteded to find "the best manager" in the League.
There is a "Manager on the Top" League, which is wonderful, because all teams have the same value. The only "problem" is, that it has 16 Teams, but sometimes, the leagues needs to be bigger or smaller. I think, the most managers using this league don''t care about the teams in there, but the possibility to start from the same foundation.
Maybe it is possible to create some more leagues with 10 / 12 / 14 Teams with the same team value. I don't know how difficult it is, but maybe you can just copy'n'paste the current league and remove some teams.
Thanks a lot!
Thanks to @SpecialOne who already replies on Discord. You do a great job, even if we (some of us) are very annoying (sometimes) -
This is not really a support question so I'll merge this topic and move the discussion to the right place!
-
Now that the topic is on the correct place...
While we agree that these leagues are interesting for community events/competitions, we also don't want to banalise them and have tons of this type of leagues.
So, adding more leagues is not something on our plans in short term.
What we can do, and this will depend on the reactions from community, is to agree on a schedule with you guys and make some kind of rotation by replacing/updating the league with a different number of teams.
Will this work for you guys?
-
@SpecialOne Some time ago we had a historic tournament that changed every month like World 1998 or EURO 1992. Can these tournaments return in OSM, with monthly rotation or as regular tournaments?
-
@SpecialOne Thanks for your support. It's not about the teams, its about the number of them and their absolutely equal team value.
In such a league, all participants start at the same point. -
i misunderstood and want to add, that the number of teams in the competitions is not always the same. We hatte a league with up to 60 participants per month. Another French league vs the same. And depending on the number of registrations er search for leagues.
Of course we can use smaller leagues, what we already do, but the the first ist often twice the value of the last.
-
As the previous speakers have already described, we are not interested in the names of the teams, or from which countries these teams come, but that the teams all have the same starting value in a league.
In the community, many competitions are organized, either within one's own crew, or between several crews, or between managers from different nations, and these competitions should primarily have equal conditions for all participants, i.e. equal team values.
The "Manager on the Top League" is great, but for some purposes too big. Also, from experience, there is the problem that there are not enough players available on the transfer list for all participants when the league consists of 16 very active managers.
We, for example, play our crew league without the scout. We started playing in big leagues, first with 20 in a league, and then successively played smaller and smaller leagues. We have found that leagues with 10 teams are just the right size and bring all managers the most fun. Maximum in leagues with 12 teams. In all larger leagues, the fun factor falls by the wayside, we have found.
Therefore, we would welcome a smaller league, with the same team values, very much. The teams could be called like in the Friendly Battle Team 1-10, or consist of fantasy names like Bayern United or Eintracht Madrid, I think that would not bother the community, because as mentioned, we are about something else.
We currently play our competition with 60 managers, with promotion and relegation between leagues, after one season, and with 1st league to 6th league. And I know many communities that organize similar competitions, that would much rather have their competitions in smaller leagues, if OSM would offer us an option for that.
Can you maybe create a league of for example 24 teams, which are then called teams 1-24 or have fantasy names, which all have the same value, and then when creating the league you can choose how big the league should be? So that the league moderator has an option to choose if the league should consist of 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 or 24 teams?
From my point of view this could be a quite "simple" solution. OSM does not need to offer 5 or more new leagues, but only one league, and each community could open its league according to its own ideas. And all wishes of the community would be covered with such an option.
