i think it is the voice in the calmer parts of both songs and some melody lines.

These guys have to be my fav new music discovery, such a unique sound -
And they have been around since 2008, forming in Edinburgh. And are Mercury music prize winners; have to start following that again. Thought they had abandoned the awards to mainstream popularity.
