Hello Friends Here you a Super Rock Concert
-
-
@supernova-8 Thank you, Sofie for rewind to our past)) Of course, all of them we listened and like. But I choose Love Bites and of course Still Loving You from legendary Scorpions))
-
I thank you too Saby for joining us to this amazing time travel. A big thank you goes to our mate Marinus of course for his wonderful music game . I gotta say that this is one hell of a weekend for our World music forum! Very emotional moments.
Thank you so much guys , for your music and for your love . -
@sabit-mamedov P.S. Almost 30 years ago a girl gets a gift from a guy that liked her and was flirting her. The gift was a cassette, a tape filled with songs that he had chosen to record for her to listen to ( no CDs back then as some of you know )
Love Bites was one of the songs from that collection Saby. The girl listens to that tape three times in one night, she fells for the guy and the rest is history... It is incredible the way music affects us all and certain songs are often so powerfully connected to some of our best or other times worst moments and memories of our lives. I wouldn't ever change that feeling for the whole wide world !!! -

Music Challenge Day 8: Post a song you want to hear while traveling
While traveling... Mmmm... That excludes rock and pop rock music in a way. Cause the lyrics draw my attention and my thoughts and I don't want that while I'm driving fast on an open road. That being said, I must say for me traveling music is combined with ethnic sounds, new age, chillout or lounge music and of course here comes also the progressive atmospheric part that I love.
I remember one of my best travels of my life. I had bought a brand new and I had to drive from one town to another due to my old job as a sales woman. I was all alone , just me my car and my music but I was so happy ! So one night I put this cd on my car's cd player and drived along .I always loved driving at night, I opened my window to feel the fresh air of the country blowing my face I took a deep breath and I was staring at the beautiful full moon in front of me. I turned up the volume really high to keep me awake. And that music, oh my God ! Magical ! A musical journey to another place, somewhere in the past of the Native Americans that I always admired and respected for their ways and traditions. I absolutely adored that cd ever since and always willOther examples of my quality traveling music would be Nacho Sotomayor for sure ...
And an example of the progressive kind that I love so much...
All in all, any beautiful song coming also from Buddha Bar, Cafe Del Mar or Cafe De Anatolia ( thanks to you for the latter one Saby @Sabit-Mamedov ) collections and certainly anything coming from the brilliant lady singers Loreena McKennitt and Enya could also be called my traveling music choices.

Why not ? It's a good uplifting dance remix Guido. Maybe you have listened to this one too from Burak Yeter. But this one was his own production.
P.S. try to visit us more often if possible dear , especially now that we have Marinus's music challenge game on the roll.

@marinus99 Marinus all three beautiful country songs are now saved on my playlists, haha. Thanks mate !
But the third song , wow, some awesome lyrics there buddy.
" Cause I've been looking for a girl like you
To come and travel with a boy like me
Would you come and sing a little melody
And I've been waiting for a partner in crime
Split every dollar and share every dime
Would you come and sing a little harmony ."
I loved it ! And I'm gonna share a bit of country too a bit later ...haha... Cya soon ! -
@supernova-8 Great to hear that
Yeah, I love Stu Larsen's music. Awesome melodies and always a great lyrics. And believe me, it's even more "magical" hearing him live!
-
@Marinus99 Going for a ride on the country side with ya! Ready mate? You get the shotgun though . Voom voommmmm... Off we go !
For starters I gotta say this : If you ain't a Shania Twain's fan , then you ain't any fun !
Just kidding Mar , haha. But I do love this woman so damn much !Ok...Now let's look at some songs hopefully of your country taste too Mar that can bring a smile on your face ...
One song about those nasty creatures that torture men ... Women !
Alright... This one , I first listened to it ages ago and I was stunned !! I love the fact that most of the country songs have a great story to tell you through their lyrics. Listen to this song's lyrics carefully Mar. It might bring you chills mate.
One song about old habits , just like my silly smoking... and others...
So what makes us Country after all , ha?
-
@supernova-8 I want to congratulate that guy. He knows the most emotional spot of your soul)) Cafe De Anatolia is almost my the most favorite music project right now)) For this most of the gratitudes go to Billy Esteban, who established this music youtube channel))

So, my guess would be that you were lucky enough to hear him singing live. Good for you mate. Both songs were great but the second one ... Anyways, keep it coming Mar. I know you're just warming up ...haha.
Like I mentioned earlier, every song has its own story to tell. Some make you smile ...Some make you cry... But that's life after all.
Like The Verve say : A Bittersweet Symphony, that's exactly what life is. -
@supernova-8 Yes, I know "Tuesday" and I really like it too
I try always to take a look on this topic my dear friend, I think it's the most beautiful on the forum You take care of it with so much passion... So, now I wait @Marinus99 with his today's contest

Day 9: Post a song by an artist no longer living
The amazing Aretha Franklin just died half a year ago. Definitely one of the best female singers of all time.
2012 Joe Cocker brought out a new album. And this is my favourite album of him, with many great songs. Sadly he died two years later in 2014.
Freddie Mercury of course has to be honored on this day of the music game. But there was also a women, he did great stuff with in his last years: Montserrat Caballé. And she also died last year...

Day 10: Post a song in the language from the country you come from
Here a few german songs of three totally different genres.
The singer of the first song is primarily an actor (My favourite german actor) but produces music at the same time.
Number 2&3: Max Raabe is a well knwon german musician, who sings songs in the style of the music from 1920/1930. It's very special and not everyone likes it, but I think it's great.
And I love this music video
The 4th one is a song against nazis and all those idiots who vote for them!

The 4th one is a song against nazis and all those idiots who vote for them!Good morning Marinus ! Before I post my today's songs I felt like sharing a few things about your songs.
Firstly I wasn't able to view your first and last song via my phone but I will look for them on youtube, I promise.
But I must say I absolutely loved Max Raabe's style , his melodies and his gentle and elegant voice. So yeah, imo he is one of a kind for a singer mate.
Plus... The frog from that video was super cute and I would definitely kiss that little puppet too ( whether he would turn into a prince ...or not ! )
And I am so proud of you for your last comment and post about these lost souls who are constantly fed only by misery and hatred.
I wanna thank you for everything that you are and share it with us and I tell you this Marinus ...If I start loving the German language it will be Only because of You my friend. And that's why today before anything else I wish to dedicate this old song that you brought in my mind this morning. With love from Greece. I would hug you for real if I could...Bless your heart Marinus !
