@SUPERNOVA-8 Sophie managed to make from this topic, the topic with biggest effervescence!
-
@casual1948 Yes!!! Yesssss!!! Turn up those volumes !!
Huh... I just saw the other comment... Thank you so much for your compliment my dearest Claudius but it's not just my doing.
So many people love music too much and they know how to show it! Amazing right ?
Thank you for that my beloved Osm mates -
@supernova-8 Of course I am going to go on with S. 'Cos I have something special with this letter)) I love this song very much. And the performance of this sweet girl too. I think the equivalent of the letter sigma in English is S. So I won't violate the rules of our game))
But I am not sure for the last letter in title of this song)) I think it is alpha. So go on with the letter A, sweety)

Now, what can I say about this post of yours Saby? I'm honored and very much touched by you. Thank you my sweetheart. The least I can do is return to you this kind gesture and that big smile that you brought to my face. Therefore, I dedicate the following post to you my dearest friend, to Baku and to Azerbaijan with love from Greece
A beautiful video of the Azeri song from a wonderful event in 2015 ! ( I also liked the story being told on the comments of this video )
Is this how Baku looks like Saby ?
From the above video I found and loved the Broken Dreams ( Sad part of your history but such a beautiful song... ) - by Nigar Jamal (Winner of Eurovision Song Contest - 2011) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khojaly_Massacre ( now I also understand Ihsan's post on the forum )
And another great song from the ESC in 2009 ! Opa !!!
Look what I found here ! Wonderful ! From Mr. Samedov to Mr. Mamedov.
And this one, not bad...
And you're ready to go Saby , cause as it seems you have to continue with the letter S again ... or with the letter I or M . Hihihi..

@supernova-8 Wow! You have searched so much info about Azerbaijan)) Now it is my turn to feel proud. Thank you dear. Thank you very much
Let me explain things in order you asked me questions)) The first video, you've shared here is from the opening ceremony of The 1st European Olympic Games in Baku. That was great opening that I have ever seen. You should watch it from the beginning to the end. SarΔ± gΙlin (Blonde bride) is the national song in our country. The song is about sad story of love between man and his lovely blonde girl. Alikhan Samedov is a popular musician of Azerbaijan. He is best known for his amazing performance on balaban (national musical instrument in our country and in Central Asia)
Yes, dear. Baku is more beautiful than you can imagine it)) One day, if you come here, I will show you whole city))
Broken Dreams was performed as a tribute to Khojaly massacre (26th February 1992) It is one of the sad days of our Nation.
The song Always was performed by Arash and Aysel in Eurovision 2009. And it was the second time, Azerbaijan was being participated in Eurovision. They won bronze at that contest))
Azerbaycan maralΔ± (Azerbaijan beauty) is the national song too. Maral in Azerbaijani language means deer)) In our country beautiful girls called deer or gazelle)) So this song is about a beautiful Azerbaijani girl.
The last one is pop singer. The song he sings AddΔ±m-addΔ±m means Step by Step)
Now...As you offer me three letters at once, of course I choose the M. I am going to share my the most favorite Greek song, that unfairly blocked in other game)))
The letter A is still waiting you))

Day 12: Post a song that makes you hopefull
Another great day, new music challenge, new wonderful songs ! Thank you so much Marinus !
P.S. Baba Yetu was my favorite one Mar, you know I love good ethnic songs .A song , a dream , a pray ... If it could be real...what a bliss that would be
-
@casual1948 My dearest Claudius what a wonderful surprise to see your post in here ! I can't thank you enough for sharing some of your music with us...Or maybe I can ...In my own special way ...

Day 13: Post a new song of an old band/artist
The first song is already 4 years old. But I think for such an old band like Toto this definitely counts as new
Same for the next one:
But the the third song is brand new and from my absolute favourite musician:
-
@marinus99 My favorite band tried something new a couple of years ago. They tried out their hand at pop music. Got some heavy criticism for it. But I honestly think it was a good try:
RIP Chester

@sabit-mamedov Actually it took me at least three hours of good research before I felt ready to post the best possible youtube videos I could find on my first attempts to meet your country's music and traditions. Well it surely worth every second of it dear since it made you that proud and happy.
As for most of your explanations , thank you dear but I knew most of them since like I said I tried my best with this research and I was educated too about couple things concerning Azerbaijan. I knew almost nothing before that night, I was sorry for that.
" Azerbaycan maralΔ± (Azerbaijan beauty) is the national song too. Maral in Azerbaijani language means deer)) In our country beautiful girls called deer or gazelle)) So this song is about a beautiful Azerbaijani girl."
Now this one I didn't know and I'm very glad that you explained it to me. Funny cause we also tend to call a beautiful girl a deer , especially when she has big bright eyes.
And once again you chose a Greek song ...Ah Saby Saby mou... You're killing me softly here... haha... Thank you so very much sweetheart !
Alrighty, let's see what we can do with your A letter now...I found this one Saby and I loved it .. Looks like a company of friends playing music , simply and sweet. Plus the lyrics are wonderful and I know that you will enjoy the kinda like spanish sound of the guitar too. At least I hope so...
That means you are next with the letter Z ... Hmm... I'm so curious to see what you will come up with this time you lil devil...
Dammit ! But I cannot let you go just with a Z , think it's a hard letter haha...So here's one more song that I love .
Z or N ???

And I think you always keep your best song for the end Marinus, haha. Don't you? I liked the 3rd song more than all of them!As for my today's reply to our music challenge by all means I will go for my beloved U2
Their 2014 album called Songs Of Innocence had great songs like the : Song For Someone , Every Breaking Wave etc.
But their latest 2017 album was the one that had songs like :
About this song : βThe video addresses the current political situation: 2017 for us was the year fascists worldwide felt confident enough to raise their heads again, encouraged by Trump and other world leaders, who use people's fear to build more walls and segregation."
And I feel like mentioning the latest album of Fleetwood Mac from year 2017 while they were celebrating their 50 years of their own music history, even if it has no new singles at all, but I love this band and so many of their pop-rock songs too much . . It's called : 50 Years - Don't Stop !
