How do I resign from winner's cup after knocked out?

Usually for cup you can leave after your eliminated , like an option will show , but one time for me I was not able to leave the cup , there was no option to leave so since I was in a crew I signed for a crew battle and they asked me which slot should I leave for I left and joined with the winner cup slot which I was not able to leave from
