Did you had an account on OSM prior to this one that you used on your iPhone and was deactived/deleted or locked?

Then I think it's best to contact our customer support through the below link. Then click on 'submit a request' and choose the option 'OSM' to fill in our contact sheet. Make sure to provide as much details as possible.
