why we can not resign as manager ?

Can someone explain that why we can not resign from tournaments ? like winners cup, champions league, etc ? we can resign from league but not from tournaments? any reason ?
Hi there,
In tournaments you can only resign once you are eliminated from it. Tournaments have a short format with 6 matches in group stage and then a few knockout matches. They want to avoid that users are leaving early to keep it fair and balanced for the other users and to keep the amount of matches to a computer team as minimum as possible.

hey Eddie, it is clear thank you for explaination. I am trying to go up in rank. i m now 173rd position. but in winners cup, there is a one team that his squad value is 17billion and average is 175. and then 2nd expensive team is only 2.5 billion and average is 130. so I had 2 game with this user and of course I lost both game and it cost me 2200 manager point which I can gain it in 3 months. it doesnt sound fair, thats why I wanted resign from winners cup.
