I don't have this problem, just today I purchased Buffon. I was gonna buy Ronaldinho too but wanted to save boss coins for the future endeavors. However, what I experience is, in the achievements there's an achievement called "buy 5 legends" and it wasn't counted.

Edit: I realized, it counted actually later on. So no problem about this for me at all.

Did this happen with all legends or just a single one/few?
On what platform did you tried to buy the player? (webversion, iOS app or Android app)
On which managerslot did you try to buy the Legend?
Did you tried to remove cookies and cache or force closed the OSM app and tried to buy the legend again during the event?

@FC-Eddie_NL For me, yesterday's problem was resolved, but I tried purchasing through the app and also through the official website. No, I didn't clear the app data; the problem was resolved automatically without any intervention from me.

I tried to purchase several legends on several manager slots. I tried both webversion and Android app, but both did not work. I force-closed/cleared cache the app to no avail.

Some hours later, I tried again and successfully managed to buy one. I do not know what changed, but I assumed it was a bug fix.

I have received the confirmation that they indeed fixed the bug on Friday. It should also be fixed for future Legend events.
