I would comment more on these films, and I respect the efforts you have made to orchestrate this thread so successfully Matt. To my embarrassment, there'a probably 35-40 of the aforementioned films that I haven't seen, hence my lack of comments.

Pulp Fiction deservedly scored highly. Its my kind of film. It's not a far fetched film, it's very straight talking, subtle humour and cleverly written.

Theres a lot of classics on the list, but would have been nice to see different genres. Maybe even musicals, e.g. Grease which is brilliant in its own way but was never really going to be the Shawshank Redemption type that is brilliant in a very different way.

While and worth our room on this earth...

Good that Gladiator isn't number one. It's a nice movie with some good images and nice music, but besides that the story is very very dissapointing: no suprises whatsoever, clichΓ© bad and good guys and the school example of predictable.

Well since nobody is comenting on #3 on its day and everyone are preocupied with everything else, I'll do it then, its my favourite movie after all πŸ˜„

So, Im very glad that The Dark Knight got so far, even though if it was up to only me it would be even bit higer πŸ˜› Fantastic movie that surpassed its superhero genre and made such impact that many are calling it as one of the modern classics. Simply phenomenal direction by Nolan, movie filled with nicely paced action scenes and brilliant acting done by one and only Heath Ledger as The Joker. Rest of the cast did well as well, but lets be realistic, it is obvious that ledger stole the show, even from Batman in many ways πŸ™‚

Also, when it comes to this trilogy it must be said that every movie in it has brilliant ending that very well encompasses the whole story, and the ending of TDK is my fave 1.
                          "He's a Silent Guardian, a Watchfull Protector, a Dark Knight!" ❀

Oh yeah, and I must not forget brilliant soundtracks as well. Basically this movie has everything for me πŸ™‚

@Michal_ACM Yup, it was really a sad news: And a big loss for movie lovers. Surely this role made him immortal, but it wasnt his only good role. He was great as well in "Brokeback Mountain", did great job in "10 Things I Hate About You", "A Knight's Tale" as well... Then there are his roles in "Candy", " The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus".. he surelly knew how to pull of some decent acting performances in variety of genres.. I think there was so much more to come from him, but sadly... πŸ˜•

@King-Noel That performance was one of the greatest movie creation ever! I don't really like a batman series but Ledger as a Joker... That was masterpiece πŸ˜‰

The Batman movies are just over advertised , expensive yes, great action movies for the lovers of special effects too but not considered as unique in general. But with one exception , the movie TDK and Ledger's dialogues and his outstanding unbelievable performance was really unique and of top class ! :bow_tone1:
Such a shame indeed that we lost an actor as gifted as he was so soon, so unfair. 😞

@SUPERNOVA-8 Yes, 2 others parts of Nolan's trilogy were not that good as TDK was. The reason is clear: No Joker - no party πŸ˜„

Batman Begins was great as well. Its the creme de la creme when it comes to superhero genre. TDK Rises is second level of quality though, surely not as good as the first 2.
