I remembered this topic and I’m just very disappointed so I needed to say something.
I returned to the game after two years. I’m playing Premier league with my friends (19 active managers without camps , resigning ) we all are active and most of the guys are good and some are very good. Its a tough league and it takes all my attention as we all know each other and have a FB Messenger to talk.
I chose my team first ( based on last season manager points ) I managed Wolves , some of the better managers chose ManU , Everton, Tottenham , Chelsea and Arsenal so it became very challenging for me, but I managed to built the best squad in the league and with the most valued team ( till today )
Couple of days ago I had an absolutely priceless win , won away against the team with a better starting 11 and is the league leader without conceding ( one of the toughest opponents and top achievers among the league ) and I won with great performance and control over the game, the statistics showed that. And I became joint leader ( still in the beginning of the league though but a good start)
The next day I got the new update with players have specific position and I had the worst defeat ever in the same day vs a less opponent ( Man City ) the manager is not among the best in the league and my starting 11 ovr is 96 while his is 90, though its an away game but I was the one who should end up winning.
I discovered that the new update was already available to 4 managers in the league ( including city ) and that they began the league from the first day with the update and build their squads based on specific positions while the rest of the managers didn’t know and bought players based of the lines.
It was really injustice for the rest of managers of course , Though they announced the update after the game but the defeat but when I found that my starting 11 had 6 wrong positions while my opponent already knew that and his starting lineup all play on their original positions. I had a swapped RB and LB. a LW playing in RW. a false9 as ST and misplaced CMs as I wasn’t aware of the new position system so I treated them all as Cm any as I mentioned some of the opponent had that update from the start; then It must had that effect
After that defeat I worked the all day on completing my squad with the missing positions with swap deals with other managers and I did complete the squad before the next round which I won home 5/0 ( before replacing the players in their specific position I scored 4 goals in 5 games by the way ; all games 13 shots and more )
So now I had the best and most complete squad in the league ( with chemistry too ) and am playing today away against a good manager yet lesser team and inconsistent results and the leader Everton is playing away too against lesser team than his squad but a better squad than my opponent.
The game announced that ****** promotion of fast transfers, my team which was far away from being a challenge sold players for 120 to 150 m and bought 3 defenders rated 96 98 and 104 ( joint highest player in the league so far ! ) and 96 mid, with a 97 ST
He player 532 and I outplayed him in his own ground 41 to 59 control 6 to 10 shots and he won by a late goal 2/1
Whilst Everton been totally outplayed by his opponent 60 to 40 control 12 to 5 shots and he end up winning 1/0 !!!
Now I’m 5 points away and currently in 6th place of the league instead of reclaiming firs place
Its only the start of the season but with the transfer fuzz after 3 days of madness I’m gonna end up 6th or 7th in squads value and I’m the one that had the better team before that- I don’t need any new players and I’m playing Portuguese squad to achieve chemistry ( I alway choose a nation even before the game announcing that bonus , I didn’t play for almost 2 years as mentioned before ) so I don’t just buy or sell any players I built my team for long plans and have list of targets to obtain.

When you're eliminated from the tournament, you have that option. -

Still the best historical tournament organized by OSM till date. Players had their actual ages as at 1998 as well as their actual jersey numbers as at the time the tournament was held.

my best one is winning with 3rd place Sevilla against 2nd place Real Betis 9-2, and Sevilla is 10 points behind Betis in the league

I joined Bayern Munich in the middle of the season, which meant that one of the only managers in the league was fighting for relegation and the other was going on an unbeaten streak with Leipzig. We were sitting at third, almost confident of getting a Winners' Cup spot. I faced Leipzig the next day I joined and lost. I did not want to let that slide. I had them as my last game at the end of the season. At that point they practically won the league and cup. I improved the team up to the level that I could compete with Leipzig. And the day has just finished. After a cagy 2-1 win, I can proudly brag that I stopped them from doing an Arsenal (or maybe Leverkusen!).
