    Dear all,
 I'm wondering what is the outcome of passing setting and how the team performance is effected by this. Why someone should use low passing tempo? Is there any andvantage out of this? Please state your opinion and please do not put this topic under "tactics requests" because it isn't such a request.

      Good evening Aris . 🙂
I would love to share my opinion with you but personally I failed to understand your questions mate. Sorry 😊
Care to give us a better explanation please ? Are you talking about Passing game as Style of Play or are you talking about a part of the special tactics and the different scales ( % ) of the Tempo ? 😕

@SUPERNOVA-8 I'm reffering to the scale of passing tempo, not the passing style of playing

Alrighty then. I will try to share my personal opinion in a general way of course Aris. Because the special tactics that each manager chooses to use are in a way his or hers own personal feeling or private recipe of success. 😉
So, the feature of Tempo has basically 5 different scales, starting from 0% to 100% :
          a) Play around the back, b) Slow build up, c) Play possession, d) High speed passing and e) One touch football.

I can honestly tell you that so far I haven't tried all of those scales for my own settings.

As I see it I usually lower my tempo whenever I need to play defensively against a much better and stronger line up than mine or whenever I get to have plenty of tired players , not well fitted enough. And here's an example of hypothetical settings for let's say a 442 formation.

          1. If my first 11 line up is stronger and more fitted than my opposition's I could try to use the 442 with Passing game and as tempo I would use the High speed passing, but
          2. If my line up is weaker compared to my opposition's in any way then that means I have to play defensively and like I said I would lower my tempo to slow build up and maybe even change my Style of play too. Turn it from Passing game to Shoot on Sight ( aka SOS )

I have mentioned several times that for me every single match is a different story , a new challenge. And all depends on the conclusion that I get after I compare my squad to that of my oppositions and after I use my Spy of course to help me counter my opponent's formation and tactics . Then I decide if I need to play in a offensive or defensive mode in total.

Now let's see what the rest of our fellow managers have to say or add about your question. 😉
