@DMFArranhado98 Offside I consider it better when you only have 3 defenses or your defense support midfield

Re: [Official Topic] - Tactics Request
My opponents squads value is same with mine. He is playing 3-3-4 A . We will play in my stadium. It has got 2 stars. He plays agressive and use the wings. What do you suggest for me?

What is actually a good formation to beat 433B in general? My opponent is playing 433 B Wing Play, zonal and no offside trap.
-
Hello guys, any tips to beat 532A CA, i have 2000m squad and his 450m, its pretty hard to beat it, i get draw every time...
Thanks! -
@Suvven Thanks!
What about Line Tactics? -
Leave all on position.
-
4-5-1
Shoot On Sight
Forward supporting midfield | Midfielders holding position | Defenders defending deep
Zonal marking
No offside trap
Defensive (30) style
High-speed passimg (60-80) tempo -
@DMFArranhado98 thank you and pressing ?
-
@DMFArranhado98 75/30/70 Agressive it’s good ??
-
@jibzoo 39-30-62

I think I never had good results whilst playing with low pressure, but many managers support it. I feel like it's the same as tackling: careful tackling and low pressure just gimme an impression that players don't put enough effort, ending up underperforming.
-
Is there even an good formation to beat 433? I feel like EVERYONE is playing 433 in this game and it just depends on who has the better team. When i play with 451 or 4231 against 433 it just doesnt matter..
-
There are other factors to consider besides formations. That's not everything that matters. Style of play and offside trap provide valuable info for us to set up a countering tactic.
So, next time you'll face an opponent playing in such formation, feel free to HMU and we'll work it out. -
@DMFArranhado98 Thanks for this information mate, didn't know that! I always thought that there were just good setups between offside trap and marking. I didnt know it was different for every opponent. Do you have any tips for me in general about when to use offside trap and when to do zonal marking and when to use men marking?
-
I play with offside trap when playing offensively and when my opponent doesn't play through wing play. I play without it when I play defensively and when my opponent doesn't play with shoot on sight.
About marking, I never use man-on-man marking - given all the criticizing I got from post-match commentators whenever I used it. MoM marking should be better when you play with only three defenders and when your opponent plays with more than one forward only - but I never set such a week defense line in cases where that happens.Although, I was talking about reports from the Data Analist, regarding your opponents. I still let you know how I feel about what you asked me now, but, yeah, I felt what you misunderstood what I said before.
I rather set my tactics according to my opponents' ones instead of focusing on setting an undefeatable tactic - which I don't believe there is. -
@DMFArranhado98 Thank you very much! I have some more questions:
So you said you dont use offside trap when someone uses shooting on sight, and when you think about it it actually makes good sense! Because they will shoot from distance. But you also said you are using offside trap when somebody doesnt play with wing play. So what do i have to do when somebody does play with wing play in a 433 formatiom for example?
And you also mentioned something about the post commentary things. I didn't know that was useful! Yesterday my commentaries said at both of my games that my players felt good in this formation and played very well, i played with one on 442 and passing game, and the other 451 with shooting from sight. But i played 0-0. They both said my attackers weren't efficient enough, but i had Ronaldo on striker position in a game i should've won on paper. Its in the crew battle league with Al-Ittihad. So do you have any idea what went wrong in both matches?
Thank you very much again for sharing your knowledge and experience. Last year i had an amazing year with Huesca. I ended up with 9500+ manager points for winning the title and the cup. But as you can already guess... didn't play since then and i have literally no idea what formation i used etc.

I'm still waiting to get these commentaries on the desktop version

So what do I have to do when somebody plays through wing play in a 4-3-3 formation, for example?
It'll depend on your team values and on if your opponent defends with offside trap or not.
As I said before, each scenario requires a different approach.Commentaries said, at both of my matches, that my players felt good in this formation and played very well.
This is because you linked your chosen formation to a proper style of play.
Both 4-4-2B PG and 4-5-1 SOS are good setups.They both said my attackers weren't efficient enough, but i had Ronaldo on striker position in a match. I should've won on paper.
Maybe your Ronaldo was still worse than your opponent's defenders.
It's all about relative qualities. It doesn't only take your players to be absolutely good; they gotta be better than their opponents in order to thrive.Is in the crew battle league with Al-Ittihad. So do you have any idea on what went wrong in both matches?
I'm also managing Al-Ittihad on my current battle - and I haven't been to win yet for my first seven matches on the league.
Theory doesn't work all the times.
My squad is the second best on the competition...
... and I still fail at winning matches - despite my better stats on a few matches.
If you visit some official fonts, you'll always see that one of factors to consider regarding OSM simulations is luck. So, you may be on a unlucky streak of two matches... but I'm a lot worse over here.
