@jeffro-davies
I've been around for too long not to know all of this. Still, from time to time I have to post a rant even though I understand that it wont change anything, just so I can have a clear conscience. Because in real life the thing I hate the most is when people think that something is bad, but they are too afraid to speak up and try and make a change, no matter how unrealistic the effect of a small group is. Pure silence never has, and never will help that something bad changes towards a better way.I hear you, I’ve been playing since beginning of 2013 and I know you have a lot longer. I always speak up but it’s pointless without feedback. They see people like me and you as toxic managers when in reality we know the game inside out and willing to speak up if we think something is a poor decision. I can live with this ranking, doesn’t bother me at all in the slightest tbh.
People that are higher ranked will be a worse player than me, on the other hand people who are lower ranked will be better than me too.
I’d like competitions and cups against strong, active and competitive managers but we have FMS and app battles. That’s itId help with this but no feedback ever so no point.
Don’t get me wrong FMS is good, but one manager per crew every month or two isn’t enough

Sadly I think it will just increase the situations of "boosting points" where people have bot accounts in their leagues and boosting their MP's with imaginary opponents.
Yes and No... Managers in low divisions will grant you less medals, also if you lose against a low division manager, the amount of medals you lose is way bigger.

40k per league is just too much
It won't be that easy to get 40k per leagie as end of season bonus, but if you're an active manager playing in a league from the start with active managers... it's possible.

GB don’t care about long serving managers, never have mate.This is not true. OSM has around 1,5M daily active players and we try to please the majority, not just one category... Unfortunately for old school managers, new managers don't see OSM same way as them...

As long as you do it politely and explain why you rant, all the rants are welcome and listen, and... once in a while they work for the 'ranter side' and things change

This is not true. As on above comment, if you maintain respect, be polite and when users act in a way a debate/discussion is possible, you get proper feedback from our side!

Have you looked at my comment about my crews battles search missing EOK Albino please? The one where they got matched with RD and we didn’t get matched with any of them?
-
@jeffro-davies yup... need to investigate it a bit, but no connection to DB at this momment...
-
@SpecialOne thank you

I don't like the new ranking. I would like to choose my own leagues when it comes to manager level. Most of the time this is:
- Main account more active league (but playable while logging in once per day); subaccounts less active leagues. This means I would play main account on my own level, but subaccounts 2 levels below my own level in the new system.
- Less active leagues in winter time, a little more active leagues during summer time (except when on holiday)
I hope I can still choose on which servers and on which level I want to play. Otherwise I will consider to play bad on purpose on subaccounts to prevent that my main account can only play in difficult leagues.

hello I have a suggestion
it would have been great to have the same individual ranking system as for battles! Let me explain: a system of divisions in which you can register for a short championship (6 or 8 teams) whose destination is defined by GB and changes every two weeks, with a pre-season day and without a cup. And where one faces opponents of his division; this would have allowed to progress in a healthy way in the divisions, all in full championships ... Frankly it would be great ... the idea of these divisions is great but the achievement much less for the moment -
With all due respect, this update was . Enjoy it GB .

@Majstor-Matt
As you said, there is no logic at all...
This is the profile of a manager from top20 on Global ranking:
Makes no sense...Why isn’t this explained? How can this profile be in the top 20 if all 4 accounts are looked at and used for starting positions?
-
Is it games won and lost with the starting positions in the global ranking? Must be and nothing to do with 4 accounts combined manager points? No explanation on this.
-
@jeffro-davies I think I saw them saying that only ranking slot gave you starting points (MP's mainly). Also I hguess that manager in top 20 had 2 or 3 leagues finished in last couple days as finishing a league gives you unrealisticly high bonus. One of my teammates got 40k for theit Thailand league finish 2 days ago.
-
@Majstor-Matt still no proper explanation how it was worked out at the start though. I’ve won more games than him, lost more also but have loads more manager points than him over all 4 accounts. If the other 3 don’t count that’s fine, would be better with an official answer.
Would be nice to know how they worked out the starting ranking by someone who knows for sure though mate. Questions asked and not answered. I’m also being very polite so no reason not to get a reply. They want managers to take this ranking seriously then Staff should answer questions on it.

Really nice update, finally there is a level for managers, nice job GB.
hey mans, just calm down because you're not in the high divisions doesn't mean it's OSM's fault,if you're good enough you'll be in the high divisions. Finally OSM thinks well, that a manager who has won more games with 4 slots must be higher than the one who plays only with main slots, with the ranking of managerpoints only, you saw managers in the top 100 with only 1000 wins in the whole his career, very bad ... Now whoever plays with 4 slots and wins the most games is higher in the divisions whoever plays only with one slot will be in the division he deserves to be.
the things to improve in medals:
1 ---> +10 experience bonus per game
2 ---> -500 resignations -
@roni-meda Update is not bad, Its just not developed enough so far. Problem is that in a year there will be too many Lvl 10 - Legend managers ( considering its easy to collect these medals) and also problem is that if all slots are combined for rankign, then all slots should've been taken into account for "starting points".
All in all, its not a bad idea, just needs a bit more touches to it to make it more realistic and in order to give some meanings to divisions. Because if everyone will be level 10 soon, then what is the point in it?

@jeffro-davies Again... why don't you read before start making posts like this????? Write all this kind of things and later excuse because you missed it doesn't solve everything...
Just check my post on previous page... If you want to check if the answer given is correct or if this was some sort of bug, just get the manager name of the user on the screenshot!

I wouldn't count on it....
The higher you get, the lower the points you can earn and higher the penalties for losing. It will become more and more chalenging to keep increasing, but as I said already, let's give it some time and then take some conclusions
Give this system a chance to prove it's value
-
@SpecialOne Can we keep playing on a lower level when we play less active? For example pick an strong league of my own division with my main account, but weaker leagues with subaccounts? Most of the time I play less active on subaccounts, so I don't want to play against the most active / best managers with my subaccounts.
I hope the division structure doesn't restrict the number of leagues I can play.

Least I admit when I’m wrong not like on my last thread I made on the crew battle searching.

@KoningCo It's up to you to chose which leagues you want to join and in case you don't find any league that pleases you, you can always create your own league and selet which managers can join.
OSM provides suggestions of leagues to managers, but there are options for users to pick leagues that suites their preferences
-
@SpecialOne I hope choosing leagues remains as it is right now. I don't want to create leagues myself, but join leagues which contain enough human managers (strong opponents on my main accounts, a little weaker opponents on my subaccounts).
Have you read the suggestion I posted in August? I still haven't received any reply on that one: https://forum.onlinesoccermanager.com/post/1003007
