Has the new update changed tactics?

Hi everyone, hope all is well. I just had a question if anyone knew if the new update to the game had changed what tactic/tactics are effective? I had used the same one on all of my saves for a while and 7 on the bounce were I won both the league and cup, with a decent range of teams (Man City, Olympiakos, Torino, Saint-Etienne). In the most recent league I've finished in Scotland I didn't even reach my objective and went out in early in the cup, and have been underperforming in my other saves as well, while still using the tactics I have had success with previously. Has the way tactics worked changed or am I just playing better teams now and thus getting less luck, or if you have any other theory I'd like to hear that too
