      @CsurkaN

      Hi there,

      When you decide to deactivate your account, it will be deactivated inmediately. However, it will be stored in the database for 3 years. After that it will be permanently removed from the database.

      Keep in mind that the deactivation of your account can't be reversed. So you will lose acces to it permanently.

        Small correction on what Eddie @FC-Eddie_NL said...

        • When an user stops logging on an account, becomes inactive, that account is fully removed from the game after 3 years.
        • When an account is locked/deleted by user it's permanently removed from our databases after 7 days (this is to prevent accounts been hacked or locked by mistake. Both situations can be appealed by contacting support. Keep in mind that you need to provide evidences of your innocence, just state that you're innocent won't work.

        After accounts been permanently removed from our databases, it's of course, impossible to reverse.

          @SpecialOne May I please ask why has this been implemented? It is really sad that if someone who has been playing for 10 years lets say, stops playing for 3 years, and then if he comes back he loses all access to his previous achievements and has to start all over again..

            Well, we've to blame ourselves for this šŸ˜„ ... we elected the politicians that make these calls and there were laws approved (GDPR). Those laws are responsible for a lot of changes we've been implementing on past years., these are the visible ones, but I can assure you a lot more had to be implemented that's not visible to users šŸ˜ž

              General Statute of Limitations (in the Netherlands)

              • 5 years for most civil claims, including contractual and tort claims, starting from when the creditor becomes aware of the claim and the debtor.

              GDPR says, that data must be deleted as soon as the purpose of the data handling is no more given. Hence, I'm curious why you delete the data after 3 years?

              There is a deviation between your processes and the legal requirements. If you now told me, that the data is not under the "gerneral statute of limitation", you need to have an overriding legitimate interest. Did you?

                And in addition, GDPR is not a reason to remove profile pictures, when you add a legal text, that everybody is aware, of where this is seen, that this happens based on a consent, you can allow all kinds of pictures...

                It is more about "forbidden" content and illegal or criminal pictures.... GDPR is not a general reason for everything @SpecialOne

                  I'm not from legal department, so can't answer your doubts... sorry šŸ˜ž

                  What I can add is that OSM belongs to Miniclip and HQ is no longer NL, also since the game is available worldwide it has to follow ALL international rules about data protection.

                  If you really want to know more about that, you'll have to contact legal department!

                    My first account was locked/deleted for unknown reasons when I took a break for around 3 months. During this time I had uninstalled the APP and I never thought my account would be deleted. I contacted the support and If I remember Roel answered and he said my account is deleted and it's not possible to recover it and I never got the real reason if someone who could have known my password deleted it or maybe it was deleted from osm side? I had nearly 50k coins and why not just delete it because new account will be created and more coins are coming? šŸ˜„. Anyway not the first time accounts gets locked, it happened before two years with some false bans from the game server or I don't know what it was and OSM or GB never returned those accounts. I remember it very well.
