Bug affecting Africa Nations Cup 2024
-
I’m currently in the “pre-season” phase of this international competition. I’m pretty sure that in previous international tournaments every team starts with the same number of players in each squad and transfers are obviously not available.
However, I noticed that while my squad consists of 23 players, other squads have more, some as much as 30. I checked other international tournaments, eg World Cup 2022, Asia, Americas, etc, and every team starts with 26 players.
This bug is obviously only affecting the Africa 2024 tournament and gives larger squads an unfair advantage. Has anyone else noticed this issue?

Hi there,
I had to do a Google search to find the information: https://www.cafonline.com/caf-africa-cup-of-nations/news/totalenergies-caf-africa-cup-of-nations-cote-d-ivoire-2023-qualified-nations-submit-squad-list-to-caf/
For the Africa Cup of Nations 2023 (held in early 2024) the CAF decided to increase the maximum players a nation could have from 23 to 27. The minimum was 23 and the maximum was 27. Nations were given free choise in how much players they selected between those minimum and maximum numbers. That's why you see a difference in the amount of players are available for each country in that tournament.
So this is not a bug.
