What should be considered in the game?

I've been playing the game for a few months and I love it, but I don't know exactly what to do. Can you tell me what I should pay attention to in tactics and other things?
Yeah that is true, I agree with you, at the beginning everything might seem to be overwhelming but it's manageable.
Ultimately, what you're looking for, is to build a better team and to counter your opponent tactically.
How does everything work? One might wonder.
Well for starters, once you select a team, start by selling players, put them in that transfer list, and then always try to upgrade your team by purchasing better players in the transfer list.
Say, you have three strikers? Get rid of one.
You have a really good striker? Test the waters, sell him as well in an attempt to purchase a better one with better stats than the previous one.
What else you should pay attention to? Besides upgrading and making your team better statistically (by purchasing better players), you're looking for anything that gives you an advantage to win. With that being said, you need to upgrade your stadium: SPECIFICALLY YOUR PITCH. Because upgrading your pitch to the maximum, gives you better chances of winning at home, and why wouldn't we all go for that? Of course we want to win.
Besides that, what you're looking for, is the most important aspect of the game, it's the tactical world of OSM.
Now, this is a science on its own, but everything is manageable.
Say you have a weaker team, that tops up at 150m squad value, and you're facing a far better opponent with a squad value at 450m,
Now, logically speaking, you cannot beat this guy, because obviously he has better players and a better team - but it's not impossible.
From a logical point of view, you should play a defensive tactic, to counter his attacking formation - because from a logical point of view, if he realizes that your team is weaker, he's going to attack you, so in this case all you gotta do is to counter his tactics by playing a defensive formation.
I know this is a lot to process, but when it comes to tactics, every line-up has a counter.
I'm gonna link you to a wevbsite here so that you can have a look yourself, and find a tactic that suits your team depending on the situation:
