Maybe the price of players has gone up since OSM introduced the 'club funds packs' that you can buy.

If so, then this is a bit of an underhanded crap way for them to just try to make more money.

    Hi Dev Team,

I have been playing this for few months now and can honestly say that I am engrossed with it.
the best thing about osm is its simplicity and the huge number of tournaments that is available.
but still the playability of this game can be boosted tremendously.

Below are some suggestions. Which I believe can make this game to be more challenging.

Enable manager interaction during half time. ability to change tactics or substitute players. this feature will be an added advantage over the other manager who is not present during the match.

Revamp on Midfielders attributes, most of the time the midfielders have high numbers of att and def, which should not be the case. eg. an attacking midfielder should have a high attacking attribute as compared to a Defensive midfielder. an attacking midfielder should have a much lower def, not like 100 att and 95 def

Create more wingers and fullback players in the transfer list. certainly, lacking such players.

Exercise true transfer window. i.e all buying/selling players will be paused for a certain period. this will be an advantage over other managers who is not active before the transfer window.

Buying in the transfer list window should enable a negotiation window, so managers can buy players on discount.

More trainings feature for the whole team.
    Upgrade scout capability
    enhance capabilities on the players

    ADD ON
Spectate features. provided there is a live game from a good gaming engine.
Manager touch is definitely missing here.
Create special features for each player.

    Thanks for reading.

@o4mu6r in OSM 22/23 every player placed in a different position other than the native one will either trigger yellow/gold for the world star or blue for the others (less impact) or red (high impact) regardless of their overall score. So again, consistently placing the right player in the correct position is the right thing to do. I am not sure if we are playing the same game.

    Hi,

If your opponents first sets up a secret training and then use a training camp, you won't be notified about the training camp.

That's the purpose of the secret training: to stop your opponent from getting the data on you line-up and and some of your tactics.

Anyone found out how to disable this very annoying "special offer" notifications?

Data shown by analyst is the exact data at the moment you open the report.

If user changes line ups, finish training and player was upgraed, if you check later, the dat aon the report will be updated also in order to match current data.

As stated above, if your opponent sets a secret training you'll lose access to that info (also to previous one)... So if you checked before user set a secret training, that info may no longer be valid.

More accurately, man marking is for when you have as many (not sure about fewer, but this will be easy to verify) defenders as the opponent has forwards - the pundit line about this seems a little scrambled. In general, you'd expect man marking to be better defensively, and perhaps worse for distribution, but I'm not yet certain where the game stands on this. It may be that it's better defense for the hassle of matching the opposing forwards with your defenders - and enabling it.

Yes, late in the seasons, regardless if it's a game bustling with human managers, or completely abandoned by them - it seems that the demand becomes increasingly picky, it becomes harder to flog off any type of player, but the reasons may be a little different in each case: the cheaper players may be seen as affordable, but since they aren't a match for those in the list, they're not desirable (for computer teams). Whereas the expensive players are out of the budget constraints. But there may be also some cumulative variable: the more deals you've concluded in a competition, the harder will the subsequent ones be.

The overall price and the markup over their nominal value are definitely factors, but don't sell players only for the list average (well maybe if you need to reshape tactically) because you won't make progress. I've been advertising a 103 DM William Carvalho for several days for the list average in the winners' cup, but nothing happened, but when I started rasing the price, he got noticed. I wouldn't expect the AI to realize a chance is slipping away, but maybe twiddling with the price actually helps selling. It may have also been the efect of the list depopulating (when there are many players, the chances of a particular one to get noticed are smaller, when managers get eliminated it becomes possible to sell for higher prices again).

The relationship to other listed players may be a factor too: the best (human-listed) option for a given quality seems to fare better.

The nationality of the players may influence something too. Brazilians, Spaniards, Englishmen may be selling better than say Portuguese or Frenchmen or Poles (maybe a simulation of targetting the nationality bonus by the most extravagant teams).

  • Secondary qualities

    @Acessandro-0

Players have 3 attributes (attack, defense, overall), and for each line in the formation one of these attributes is the primary determinant of the quality of the player:

attack for those playing as forwards, overall for those used as midfielders, defense for those featuring as defenders and goalkeepers

But attackers still have an overall and defense rating, midfielders have attack and defense, defenders have attack and overall. So these are the secondary qualities mentioned.

How this affects the line tactics: when you have forwards with respectable defense ratings, you can have them play better (they will incorporate their advantageous defensive rating stronger, presumably at the expense of some of their attack capability) by instructing them to "assist the midfield" or the defense (by "dropping deep"). If your midfielders have per saldo slightly greater defense than attack, it would make your midfield stronger to set it to "protect the defense" than to hold position. And the other way around, if they're about equal defending and attacking, the midfield alone should be stronger when staying in position. But the question #1 is: do the line tactics only serve the line they are used for, or also the line they're supposed to be reinforcing in this way?

For the players in the defense line, it's even possible to use the attack ratings for only some of them: those on the sides (by choosing "attacking full-backs"). This may actually work the same way for the forwards too, so this is question #2: does "assist midfield" mean only your wingers are using their defensive attribute?

Question #3 is - is there merit to excessive defense?
Does defense only serve to cancel out the opposing attack or can it use the superfluous ability to propel the play? Question #4 is - does attack perform better when evading the defense - by having a different layout than they do (like a midfielder or forward dead center when the opponent is playing two in the respective middle), and does it work the other way around if the attacking players have more quality than their marker (so that they can specifically outplay them if they're close)?

Question #5 is - does the flanking bonus work horizontally as well?
