    I have this bug both on PC and mobile app

    I had a recent chat with someone, but the notification would insist there were new messages, after some days I decided to delete all my chats in hopes this would fix it, but the bug persists;

    I always have a notification as if I received a new message and is very distracting and annoying

        Yes I did clear cache and cookies, on app I re-installed it, issue persists...

          I've sent you a chat message with my World account. Could you check if the notification dissapears after you have read the message?

                    This issue should be fixed. Can you confirm that the notification is gone? You might have to remove cookies and cache again.

                          I have send you a new chat message. Hopefully that fixes it. If not, then you could try the more rigirous approach and do the following steps:

                          1. Remove all app data
                          2. Delete the OSM app
                          3. Restart your phone
                          4. Install the OSM app again
